Hello all! Join me along the ride for my first mmj grow. After racking my brain with every LED light the industry had to offer I decided to choose the pro grow 400x. I will be running a 4'x4'x6'.5" tent for flower and a 3'x3'x5' tent for veg (T5 lighting). Right now Im using the 4x4 for veg because Im just getting the ball rolling. I went to a local Clone Market and acquired some 6"- 9" clones, (1)Durban poison, (1)CX, (2)LA Cheese, (1)Romulan and (1)Black 84. All are indica dominant except the Durban poison. Not sure how its all going to unfold but time will tell. So far the plants have been in the tent for 48hrs running under 18/6 and Ive already incountered a few issue but am working through them as they arrise. The temperature was running at 75° and RH at 41 for the the first 24hrs. I was running the pro grow 400x in vegetative mode but upon further reading I realized that running at full spectrum will provide better growth. Not sure if thats the right call but Im running with it for now.
Since switching to full spectrum my temp rose up to 79° and RH dropped down to 37. I just added a humidifier in the room to try and get my RH up to an optimum range. I am also running a 6" inline fan with charcoal filter as well as 2 small mount fans to promote movement throughout the plants. I have a speed control on the inline fan and have turned it down to 75%. Im pretty sure I have the fan set too high which more than likely is driving my humidity down.
You may be asking yourself why my temps are so high. My intake air is being pulled from a room where the ambient temperature ranges between 74°- 80°. It travels through roughly 20' of ducting before it reaches the 8' of 6"flex ducting that enters into the bottom of the tent through a Horti control dust shroom filter . Im exhausting the tent on the opposite upper side with the fan mounted outside of tent on the floor with flex ducting running from charcoal filter to fan, fan to ducting that leads to the outside.
This is my first grow ever so your input and advice is appreciated.
