I'd say no, don't bother!

I'm sitting here right now with dreds and I only washed my hair on Thursday.

Many new age dread locks are made on purpose by back combing and literally ruining the hair. They weigh a lot too over time and can actually make the hair at the root thinner as it pulls.

Dread locks are best suited to hair that locks naturally, ie. Very curly hair or Afro hair. I think it looks strange when people with straight hair get it done.

But then again when I was in jax every black chick had locks and I think they looked hotter then a white girl with locks

My dreads are as a result of extreme soap-dodgery and a general disregard for personal hygiene. It's lucky my natural pheromones are overwhelmingly and universally appealing, or else I would be a most unpleasant creature to be around.

In fairness, it might be a bit off the mark posting hot girls in a daughter thread, didn't really think of that when I put them up. I'm sure Neo won't take it the wrong way.

I'd think twice about dreading a daughter's hair, as shaving it off is really the only fix for it. Boys not so much a problem. They can carry a skinhead off easier.
