I appreciate the responses. Much respect. P.s, it's a Tahoe strain that's supposed to produce 2.2 lbs per 4sqr ft!!!
On a side note, it looks like they kind of open up with leaves..... Although a branch already came up there as you can see
Just keep me updated bro u can.click.my avatar and start a conversation if u need anything else

I've never had a plant show sex while in veg. Maybe it happens, but I don't know.
It happens. But you have to keep it in Veg beyond the point where most people flip to flower. By about another month or so. It doesn't happen to all strains but I'd say it does for many of them. I've noticed the females show first this way. Most people don't have enough room for this. I've found the fastest way is to not top new seedlings until the topping is tall enough to be a cutting. Root it and flip directly to 12/12. While keeping the mom/pop at 18 hours.

Gold, does mine look male or female to you? Too early?
Too early. Once you see it you ask yourself why you had to ask about. I can't say anything that hasn't been said many times. A scope can help. But really once you see it you won't need that either. Just dont prejudge anything before you see it. Footballs are males. 2 white pistols is what you want. Very general rule I've noticed the ones that grow a littler taller and seem to have perfect structure as far as branching and overall plant shape seem to turn out male.

Upon examination this morning, it appears that the nodes are producing another set of branches at the nodes. Leaves are forming on a stem. I've never had more than a set of branches form before.... Does this indicate anything ?

yeah, it indicates that you are just fretting too much about your plants, let them be and they will grow, no need to over think them

your plants look just fine, sit back and enjoy the ride

Not all strains show sex in veg. When they do it takes longer than most people wait to force flower. So just understand you're on the long path now. From my experience generally females show first this way. Males are more stubborn and want to hold out until daylight is reduced. Is there a reason you don't just reduce the daylight and get on with it? You could slowly drop it. 17hours then the next week 16 ect. Until you figure out the sex. Look closely everyday and as soon as it shows go right back to 18. I'm guessing you want to take cuttings but are waiting until you know its a female? Why is it so important to know the sex right now?You drop to 12/12 and you'll know in 2 weeks or so.

Next time take a cutting from new seedlings as soon as the plant is big enough to permit it. Root it and stick it straight to 12/12. Other than forcing flower this is the fastest way. It's usually 3 weeks or so longer if you wait to sex by preflowers.

My friend has enough fem clones rooting for a full on SOG, thus he doesn't want to flip 12/12 until they make it into the room. He wasn't planning on waiting this long, but a friend allowed him to take clones when he wasn't expecting. So as soon as the clones root, ill switch 12/12.

Still need a few days to a week bro looks like its gunna be a female but u never really kno till its to obvious to not see

Hey guys, I forgot to mention, my plant is a hybrid. I read somewhere that hybrids can produce non flowering branches at the node and they they are often confused with males. Is this possible? One of the things growing at the node clearly has a little palmate leaf growing typical to normal leaves. c'mon rollitupers!

From the looks of it ur plant is not mature. it still is growing symmetrical, when plants mature they start growing asymmetrical. everyone of my plants have shown sex while in veg, once they hit maturity. everyone in my veg tent is showing sex but my immature plant.

let it go and keep it healthy.... u r taking clones from this? and dont know the sex?

Its a female. I can tell by the shape of the preflower at the node. As well as the vein pattern in the stem. That's my own exp though. No way to prove on that alone but based off the entire structure it's definitely female

I know what females look like. I've kept the same mother alive for 6 years or so....some kind of new record perhaps? Hahaha I'm trying to introduce a new strain from seed so I'm rusty when it comes to males. The greenhouse where the mothers are won't let me introduce the new clones until I know the sex.
