i get the impression they actually wanted you to join their clique, i do not think they are that fussy about who joins as long as they have good mimicking skills
that would explain the time they have invested in trying to convert you

because you have rejected their advances , it would appear you have left them scorned

barking dogs are often scared (fear aggression) you may even find carrot works better than stick

Better for what? These dogs are feral. :) I know they want me to say, "OK, you design it, I spend the money and I post here to prove what great people you are."

"I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member."
Groucho Marx

Damn, life is tough if they think like that, huh? That story though.... bravo again.

Keep dodging, you cant refute whats true. A more efficient lamp pays for itself faster than you had planned to upgrade. And thats assuming $.19/kwh. Its over lil guy. Anyone thinking of following your example knows there is a better way.

So its a competition .. or maybe a race?
if Doer is happy with his light once it is finished i would concluded that his project was a personal success
The point is that I have said nothing about his design or concept. And nothing about changing it. He can do what he wants.
I only challenge his thoughts and personal unbacked feelings about what efficiency means in terms of benefit for you photon output . How simple would it be to just saying "oh those are cool..the same thing I was going you a but better". And that waiting maybe two weeks(including shipping) he could have a better light. I was helping HIS design...so what's your problem. You just like to argue too?

So, you think I am trying for a following? I am not that weak minded. And how weak minded is it for you goofs to need to block a following?

Think. What is wrong with your self-esteem? Why do you insist on arguing? Why do use the weak minded refuge of mockery?

If I chase Effete, I spend more money and the build costs add up. If I get into production, at less cost, and get 4 Vegged up 2 footers from the clinic then I can have bud sooner at less cost. One pound of bud more than pays for the 1st upgrade, adding more COBs, or building another rail. I can build efficiency in more ways than spending an extra $500 now. Although when I get some real data, I will know what this rail can support.

It really amuses me that you guys get so trolled up about this. You are just another league I guess.

A 1000w for a $1000? Who has done that? I want to learn from them.

It cost more. You are insisting that I pay more.

I can guarantee you one thing, snotty, I have no personal feelings about physics.

Have you consider your personal feeling about control obsession?

personal unbacked feelings about what efficiency means

"I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member." Groucho Marx
i like that quote too ^^ :)

i don't know if its tough for them or not , i know i prefer to find my own way and make my own mistakes learning along the way

being part of a group/clique that has a shared doctrine maybe a source of strength for their mindset (strength in numbers)

for me its the discovery/exploration and self reliance that is important finding my own way
you can have an idea that is important to you, if others think your idea could be improved and you do not accept their ideas i guess they could find it frustrating
but of course that is their problem not yours
they are using their cliques shared criteria to decide what your goals should be
their idea of improvement is not your idea of improvement

i guess you could agree to disagree once you are all satisfied you have squabbled for long enough

See, it doesn't matter if a team gets along. These guys want to contribute to my typing practice, fine with me. And they drop little nuggets of usefulness, sometimes.

I know you don't like the sqawabling, but Hillbillies? Come on. :)

Oh speaking of which, have you ever heard of the Hillbilly Defense in Chess? All the Yanks on Chess.com are going, what?? I guess it is what we call Gunslinger, a very aggressive pawn structure.

so what's your problem. You just like to argue too?
why would you assume i have a problem i am merely a spectator to these shenanigans
it appears to me that YOU are one of the folk with a problem
you seem to be disgruntled because Doer does not wish to follow your advice
surely you can accept that and just move on ?

there are possibly people who would welcome your "help" why waste time on someone who doesn't want it

I bet I have a cxb build done before you get your cxa's.
your comment above seems quite emotional to me, you might as well of said
"my bike is faster than yours" or "my dad can beat your dad up"
you have turned it into a juvenile competition

are you so accustomed to people agreeing with you that Doer's refusal to agree has sent you into shock ... bruised ego perhaps ?

So much troll.

You can get 100W warm white epistar multichips for about 5-10 dollars each... There you go... If you had any common sense, you'd realize what you're looking for doesn't exist and move on.

IAC, my bike is certainly faster.

But, my light with be like a Schwinn to their Barbie Bling bikes.

I still won't be cool, enough for them.

Oh, wait a minute.....you will finish a B build before me. But, you won't say where you will get your COBs.
So, is this suppose to be a time trial where we both don't start at the same time?

Is it total logged hours?

I'm the troll that's what I get called Doer lol. All I want to do is be a contribution to this forum. You should calm down a bit, I was in the same boat in 2012 on here just being upset. Now I don't act the way I did. If I gotta make my point now I just show and not talk. When you show they shut up and that makes me happy.

I think what you all are trying to say, is this Air Rail (tm) will support 20 x 30mm COBs running at 50w each.

Why wouldn't I put 10 on a separate Air Rail (tm) and plumb them both to the suction? That's how you get spread, right? By the time I built that, I have the same watts but I am saving Kwh.

Guys it took us 6 years to design and build that airplane. At year 2 we took what look like an airplane but was actually just plugs for the molds we intended to build, and people gave us money.

And it ended tragically as the airplane stories can. My partner crashed it in the test runs. Woops. He died.
My point is, you have to start somewhere and work it up.

Another guy, took 6 years to build a kit that that only takes 3 years, but he had to have perfect.

So, perfect was it, he never flew it, got sick and sold it.

This is DIY ya'll. Don't you have fun as the main thing?

No one called on you to tell me how to act or to calm down, my friend, this is how we do it uptown.

You assume I am upset, which makes it look like they have upset me, so what are you playing at? :)

You not passively aggressively trying to limit my speech, or are you? ...to make you happy?

You are happy, right? I certainly am. I'm made in the shade with lemonaide planning my Schwinn? How's your thing going?e
