You seen me patiently answering all comer. And this is how I cement my designs. I did the same thing on my Triumph forum about the Supercharger. And sure, the same jerk off types appear. And the same right minded types appear. We shred the trolls and make design progress.
people that consider themselves experts often require acknowledgement/praise of their achievements/knowledge
when experts receive the acknowledgment they desire it gives them a warm fuzzy feeling

the experts are not getting any fuzzy from you Doer , maybe throw them a bone or two , the barking may turn in wagging tails

Right. Because I didn't praise church several time and thank him, award him Phase MVP?

Because I dared to do this in public so others may learn?

Because I didn't answer all their challenges calmly and mathematically?

Because I am not suppose to take a stick to barking dogs?

Because warm fuzzy should be my design goal?

Because I am suppose to care about their silly sensibility?

So that I DO IT THEIR WAY to see if they would leave me alone? :)

Hey, tell that cocaine girl story again. What a hoot. I just thought of that. :)

Think man. At what distance is the the light cone a meter across? That is one good distance to calculate flux at. But, I am interested in another distance. Is that OK, with you?

How high is my usual plant? And I guarantee there is more to this plant than the canopy. So, I know that you are absolutely using yours at 3 feet, as well.

3 feet is at the bottom of a 4 footer where those Big, do not defoliate Leaves are.

So, what makes you think you only "use" LED at the top of the canopy, hmmmm? :)
Digression/aggression began here. I took the time to find it for anyone interested.

Thank you, Captain, but it was a bit before that.

EDIT: I really wonder what motivated you, to pin the start of the fight there. Go back an see why I began to take the tone.

Well, now that the morning clod fall is over, I can report I spoke to the Rep at TRC.

The Drivers will be here May 1. I move in March 30. On the timeline.

You are arguing nonsense, it is the density of photons that improves photosynthesis, not the photons.

And smart guy, show me a commercial unit of 400 par watts at $2.75 per.

The higher the watts the better density I get, fool.
You're the one that is making no sense...and what little can be extrapolated from it is only proving my point.
Photons drive photosynthesis...more is better...anything else I haven't already told you. What are you arguing?
I have told you how to easily get more PARwatts(and thus photons) out of the same electrical watt, while also decreasing your heat load at the same time. You refuse to even listen and just want to argue. I bet I have a cxb build done before you get your cxa's. It could be that simple...no other design change. But you decided to be a "smart guy"...and just yell at us. Let alone if you dug deeper and realized the "density" you could achieve by actually listening.

boo hoo hoo You just want a dick wagging. But you need a microscope to get it from your pants.

In my work, the silly engineers are always saying, "but he will yell at us."

I ask them, what does that look like exactly? "Oh, when I walk by he looks like he is mad at me."
Or my favorite. "He doesn't have to yell, I am just afraid he is thinking something."

:)

Here's a favorite old saying from my bootlegging uncle.

It don't matter how much wood you burn as long as you don't drink your profit.

So its a competition .. or maybe a race?
if Doer is happy with his light once it is finished i would concluded that his project was a personal success
Not there yet, but that is the entire idea of Western Civilization, as I read it. :)

Had we not said anything, he wouldn't have known cxb existed. Even after we told him it exists, he tried to tell us it produced less output.. When we told him it actually produces more output, he said it doesn't exist... When I tried to show him my top bin cxb build, he told me I was bragging, so I took it down. Clearly it exists...

You plan to chuck your lamp after 5 years. In 4 years with this design you are in the black. You have better spread. You have less heat to deal with [think stockton summer].. You will not be able to resell a 38% lamp in 2020. You might be able to resell a 51% lamp though. Comon little guy....you think I'm afraid of the math.....there it is all vitriol and dickwagging aside.

$50 shipped - heatsink
$63 - hlg-185h-c500b
$208 - 4 x cxa3590 cb
$15 - phanteks fan

$336/75.6 pw = $4.44/pw

For 1000pw system $4440 and 1960w draw

Yours - $2.75/pw

For 1000pw system $2750 and 2590w draw

Cost (for me) is $1.4/day more for your system. Up front cost is $1690 more for mine. It would take me 1200 days to recoup costs. Better spread and I don't have to rebuy/rebuild anything to stay @ 51%

Edit: I don't live in stockton, sorry you do that spot is a complete armpit no wonder you could afford a house there. Where I live is minimum $.19/kwh

I see. Bow down and follow. You have the Imperial bug up your ass, don't you?

You have ignored all the good reasons the thinking ones accept.

You are not addressing the cost of COBs or build complexity or emitter upgrade. ARE YOU DEAF?

And if you are working at 36v you are wasting amps. Only so many amps per circuit.

Think.

Why do you bother? Why resell? "Little guy...all dick wagging aside."

Do you even read what you type before you post?

Again, you provide nothing to support your argument.

Now you are comparing me to the engineers that you bag on people telling you things for not being? I am not not one, nor did ever said anything of the sort, but for what ever reason you imply that could be the only reason for why I think that way?

I could careless if you yell...if have something to yell about. I do it all the time. I am a full blown type A, ask around. But you have nothing supporting your argument. Not even decent bullshit...just result to personal outlashes. I have been, and still am, playing nice with you. Like a cat with a pray mouse.

So come on man...give me something valid for why I and others are off our rockers?

And as for your 400parwatt commercial lamp for under 2.75 is called a gavita and is only $1.13/PARwatt

i get the impression they actually wanted you to join their clique, i do not think they are that fussy about who joins as long as they have good mimicking skills
that would explain the time they have invested in trying to convert you

because you have rejected their advances , it would appear you have left them scorned

barking dogs are often scared (fear aggression) you may even find carrot works better than stick

Now it is selling the lamp instead of upgrading the emitters. And we are suppose to trust you goofs? :)
