FUUUUCK got hit by a storm last night at 3am. 2 plants took damage :(

was up till 4 taping and splinting the breaks. ill post some picks once it stops raining.

i got out there with the tape as soon as the rain stopped so hopefully i saved a few branches. luckily it was only 2 plants that took damage.

bubble gum had 1 branch snap in 2 places.

big red took the biggest hit. 4 breaks 1 really bad.

i got out there with the tape as soon as the rain stopped so hopefully i saved a few branches. luckily it was only 2 plants that took damage.

far out man u did take a hit with the rain...next year wire cages be the go mate...first time ive used them this year ill never not use them again

agreed 2 plants have wire cages and didnt get any breakages.

the only reason these 2 didnt have cages was because i didnt expect them to stretch so much.

oh well shit happens sometimes

I just went to a bunnings where all the chicken wire was and sorted thru it till i found wire rolls with say 10 by 10 cm holes in it to thread branches through...gotta go out to shed after ill get u a pic of the same stuff mate.seems to be strong enough ive had one big rain and they held up well

Gd thing is i can go out there and the colas that are droppi g low under weight now i can just use a bit of twine to tie them to the cage in different directions ;)

yeah i know what your talking about. i used the smaller 5cm x 5cm mesh for my 2 ladies in fabric pots. they held up great in the rain
