Grootendorst: "The answer is no. … I have four pieces of evidence suggesting the market would be large"

Grace reads his numbers: 10.25% of Canadians use cannabis. 17% of those use it for medical purposes. Total 500,000 source market

Grootendorst: Dec 2012 Health Canada numbers show 28,000 licence users. They expect 300,000 - 400,000 users by 2022

Leaf was right, what a stubborn fucking smartass. Especially the whole hunt for food in new brunswick. A) You can hunt for game of all types in EVERY province and B) Most importantly, does he not think that if it were that easy a solution everyone would simply hunt for themselves. What fucking world does this clown live in? Why do grocery stores exist again?(sarcasm)

Grace and Grootendorst going through a Walsh research paper. She read numbers. He wants to know exactly where they come from

Grace: "I'm not asking you to agree to all the numbers, but as a concept" LP form a smaller proportion of market than others. He evades -----fucken squirming now aren't we?

Grootendorst: "The answer is I don't know." Refuses to comment on the concept or the data in Walsh's study

Spoken like someone whose personal interests and views are held more firmly then ACTUAL data. And this guys a teacher??

Grootendorst: My estimates were based on the idea of "the market being large"

Ah yes, the extremely quantifiable number of "large"

Grace: There are only 28,000 licences to grow #marijuana in a market in 500,000. Isn't that relevant in your calculations?

Grootendorst: "I don't see why"

REALLLLLLY?

Grootendorst: all I'm saying is if the LPs have a large market, the price will come down. I don't know what will actually happen

So which is it? Obviously grasping hard for info, so which is it numb nuts? Large market with a dropping price or you don't know what will happen? My money is on the latter

Grootendorst: Patients alternative activities come with "opportunity costs" and savings if people aren't doing those things

Correct me if I've misinterpreted this but it sounds like he's basically saying that patients could afford it if they simply didn't have/partake in any type of "non essential" activities. I.E: Movies, coffee, etc.... or any other aspect of a normal functioning social person

opportunity cost means that for your time and money is that "worth" the most to you. i.e. you can go to work and make 300$ for the day or go to school to study for a degree for that 8 hr increment in the hopes that one day you will make more than 300$ a day at work. what does the opportunity to go to school to try and earn a good job cost? 300$ a day for each 8 hour shift you miss
