my first time flowering.

Just put my 2 biggest plants into 12/12 cycle. they were in 24h cycle for 3 months now. I had a few question . is it okay for the plants to get a little lightthe reason I ask is because I have a closet grow and when I open the door during the daytime a little like kind of creeps in while I'm walking in the closet. Only for about 2 seconds. I just don't want the plants to go into some sort of shock or to stress. another question I had is should I change the nutrient solution to start blooming? and please tell me any other information that's important in the flowering process.

Your plants will be fine with that short period of light... In nature the ladies get light from lightning storms right? I have had lights on for five minutes before with no bad results - Best rule of thumb is no light at all. A small light leak that goes undetected can cause hermies...

Go ahead and give them the nutrient change the next time your plants need a drink. Cut your nutrients in half for the first drink.

Thanks. great now i know! And when i want to look at them in the dark what should i use Or just wait till the lights Turn on. Great thanks for the nutes help as well. Ill post pics of the 2 plants im flowering i hope to get maybe 14 grams all together.

sorry for some reason my phone didnt want to upload the photos had to use my laptop. here some pics of the 2 plants. the tiny clone in the bill miller cup i more of an experiment i have no intentions on usin it for anything at all but info. yeah i know it sounds crazy but yeah these 2 plants are what i started with from seed on dec. 5th had 3 but one was male. the smallest one for some reason even after the fungus gnats it continue to stunt growth. just started coming back with new and great growth. the big plant didnt seem to be effected as much. and i topped it a shit load of times and was told i did it to much i think. i should now have about 32 heads.

ill try to level the flowering nutes with the grow nutes but yeah thats what i was thinking there still small and i was told i wont even get a oz. so i wanted it to grow more . its about 2ft and really bushy but idk ive never done this before and im using shitty lights. im gonna buy atleast 2-4 huge cfls to hang im gonn try to get highest watts. like 150 equivalent or something the more lights the better

people just rag on me about my plants. say i wont get shit out of them. i hope i do get something worth my time. the knowledge i gained from everything is priceless. i cant wait for my second grow have about 8 plants in veg

your joking right? you dont have to be sarcastic about how much ill get. i know my grow isnt the greatest and my plants are small ): idk why i topped it to get 32 heads. guess i was hoping more heads more buds ): i need to do more research

Sorry if you took offence it's just the fact that a plant that has been vegged for 3 months should be a monster and by the way that little clone might just surprise you.......theirs a rule here on riu that goes like this and do not take offense because this is how I learned and many outhers.....it goes something like KISS.....In layman's terms keep it simple stupid...Kiss...worked for me 15 zips off 5 plants first grow....

that would be great to get about an oz. and yeah i do need more idk what i should use to get more light all i can afford is cfls right now until i get my check. any suggestions?

oh no your good bro! your one of the growers on RIU that has helped me a bunch and i appreciate it. yeh im gonna try to get as much as possible idk im kinda bumed out ): only 1 oz still its better than half oz

Did you get rid of the gnats everyone seem to b fighting them just now.....I smoke bombed them and feed the gnatoff with every water/feed they disappeared for a while but fkn found a few the outher day.....so it's back to def con 1'''''

If a little light gets on your plants during their dark time, they could stay in vegetative cycle. Gas lamp cycle is based on that. It does cause stretch. I have tried gas lamp, and it hermied one of my plants. All I'm saying is that it might not happen to your plants, but if you stay light disciplined, it shouldn't hurt your plants.
About your flowering nutes, I usually add flowering nutes the week before I flip to 12/12. The genetics that I have, grow well in veg, so I get them as strong as I can during veg, put them in thirtysix hours of dark, then go 12/12 and towards the end I go 13 off and 11 on and start to flush. I grow them pretty small, so I get four ounces per plant, that trim, dries and cures to an ounce and a quarter. Clone two or three every month and you'll never have to buy cannabis again. Enjoy.
