Normally I don't trim dis shire. I like a look that you get when your dis shire is a little bit shaggy, but others like a more neat and tidey appearance in their plants so they will adjust dis shire to their needs.

I always remove the lower growth that gets in the way (prior to flower). Also, the lower growth, if removed, will allow the plant to focus its efforts into you big, fat colas when the time comes. Just sayin.

Edit: You will have a growth delay, but not more than if you top them.

Very small photos..what are you watering them with? A firehose?
From a distance it looks like you just need to take your time watering them at this stage. If its a few lower fan leaves then I wouldn't worry too much about it, they're usually some of the first to go in flower and like to stretch a lot to find light. Just make sure the leaf isn't left too wet with the lights on. A fan is good for this!

If you do plan to trim up underneath, be prepared to have a small setback on growth while they recover. And they WILL recover..but how much time do you have? If you want to flower soon then I would say just take time watering them and moving branches gently out of the way.
TIME vs TIME
Spend more time watering or spend more time recovering in veg after moving whats 'in the way'.
The latter of the 2 might be the best best if you have the time, certainly it's been that way for me any ways :-D

There are many different thoughts on trimming, pruning, or any other term you wanna use for it. Personally I believe in selective pruning. Just like most other gardeners out there I do prune my play to encourage them to grow how I want. Typically for my set up I remove the bottom 1-2 sets of branches a week or so before I put the plants into flower. Then once they are done stretching and really begin to flower (about 2 weeks after I switch them) I usually remove the little bud nubs that are forming on the bottom few nodes right at the stem. I do this to allow air flow, and to remove growth that would never develop well. I feel gentle well thought out pruning is essential to effective growing. Its no different then topping a plant as long as you don't go crazy and cut tons of growth off.

don't trim dis shire. also what the fuck is dis shire?
Haha I meant dis shite ..shit..whatevs I was high lol so u don't ever trim yours ? I see so many ppl say yes n some say no..I just wanna take like 2-3 inches from the dirt off.
No shoots just leaves

Nice healthy plants you have there. If the leaves at the bottom are lying in the dirt, just take them off. No reason to be squeamish about removing a few leaves and branches. Pruning the bottom branches and any weak inside branches that won't get much light allows for better air flow through the plants. Look up "lollipopping" plants for the general idea, though you don't have to get that extreme. Agree on doing it at the end of the second week of flowering when you can see which branches are weak and not getting light. You can increase your yield and get more quality buds by pruning off the branches that only produce popcorn bud.
