But you're "looking for love in all the wrong places". There is nothing factual or verifiable in cannabis forums, only conjecture and anecdotal evidence. May I suggest you seek a non-partisan educational source like a university?
Dear Uncle Ben,
Thank you for your reply, please, please direct me towards an appropriate sources of love!
Unkle Buck has quoted an information brochure by the University of California, Division of Agriculture and Natural resources regarding fruit tree pruning (
http://homeorchard.ucdavis.edu/8057.pdf) that I will apply to my lemon tree outside. Perhaps you have a similarly well produced and easy to understand source that can comprehensively support your assertion that in all possible permutations of variables defoliation is detrimental to our botanical best friend cannabis?
I am not arguing with your basic tenants opposing defoliation a priori - but, please show me the pudding! There seem to be enough anecdotal fan boys of this technique (who are all growing indoors and using artificial lighting, and perhaps certain cultivation techniques which I believe you do not utilise such as SCROG) - to warrant a proper discussion - instead of the horseshit slinging that usually accompanies this topic and obliterates any rational discussion...
The round earth theory prevailed because there is an overwhelming factual base based on observation that supports it. That still doesn't prevent the people of the book arguing the fact. I don't know who's who in this argument as no-one has yet convinced this scientifically minded horse one way or the other with a rigorous and well designed head to head comparison. I am not volunteering my precious few plants for this exercise... but if there is technique out there proven to help me grow better I am willing to entertain it!
