Got the boveda bags in my jars. Checked em thus morning after only 14 hours and noticed a difference....goood stuff

Home depot. And no it wasnt easy to find. They only had 4 screws at one spot. So i went to another store and they had no nylon section. Other place had a few draws of varying sizes

But thats like the same thing. Maybe varying decibels but im sure its not that much of a difference. And its cheaper.

Okay thats all cute, can I use this as the only fan to pull air through my carbon filter? Basically can I use it in place as my old centrifugal fan.
If I can't use the carbon filter because of whatever reason, what can I use as a filter on the end of the intake to prevent particles from entering THE VORTEX~!

So why not? Just buy the filter accordingly.
That one you linked is not centrifugal though. The impeller is the exact same as the S&P one. Which is a mixed-flow inline fan. Its impossible to make a quiet centrifugal fan.

High static pressure is an HVAC term. =P I will take that as a "Yes Vumar it is safe to attach your Vortex to a correctly matched phat/fresh carbon filter." My fan is super quiet... More high pitched than the older centrifugal fan that had a low hum to it. I paid $180 for the thing but I do admit I love it. I could have got a shitty centrifugal fan and a filter for $200 I am sure but something in my gut said no to the shitty setup.They work good under high static pressure if thats what you're asking.

Found a place to buy a box of 100 bolts and nuts nylon. I coulr make 50 screens with that lol. All for like $18 shipped. I paid like .78 per bolt and .39 per nut for the four sample screens i made

Hey man can you come up with a list of EACH part per screen setup PLEASE. Maybe include the material type, include washers/bolts, I just love the idea and Im gunna do it.

but I am not sure of the nuts/bolts/washers you have used. its unlike anything I have seen in construction before =P Can you provide the link that you found to buy those 100 box bolts/nuts please. I just want to order parts and plug and play pretty much.

Its cpvc actually and I think its 3/4" or 1/2" whatever the smallest size they sell at HD. 1" pvc woulda cost alot and woulda been bulky.
And I already posted the parts list lol
Parts list:
(4) 15" pieces for the cola tie-off verticals
(2) 23" pieces for the cola tie-off horizontals
(4) 16" pieces for the outriggers
( 8 ) 2-3/16" pieces for the small square
( 8 ) 10-1/2" pieces for the grid. I did mine slightly under 24" total square so they can fit in my 4x4 tent. (
(2) 1/4"x2" nylon screws (.14 per shipped = $0.2
(4) 1/4" neoprene washers. Think they are 1/2" OD ($0.86)
(2) 1/4" nylon nuts (.12 per shipped separate from screws, more savings if order them together = $0.24)
(12) 90 deg elbows ($2.04 )
(12) tees ($2.04)
22'-8" pipe ($8.12)
$13.58 per screen setup. The manufacturer for these nylon stuff is Micro Plastics International out of the UK. The nylon bolts are model number "0325020200" the nuts are "0425020HNS"
I guess on Usplastics.com the bolts are on sale $5.22 per 100. And the nuts, go figure, cannot be added so not sure if its outta stock or what. But they are $2.82 per 100. $9.42 to ship it.

6ml/gal Bud A and Bud B to get about 1.2EC
Digging the H16. Bud A smells like a hydro store and is like purple/brown colored. Bud B is clear.
My tap water is like 10.0 PH and after nutes my PH was 5.9/6.0 Nice +1 for H16 Took only 4 drops of PH down to get to 5.8.
Will see how stable it is over time, but good stuff so far.

Its cheaper and comes smaller than 1" which is smallest pvc. Its only 3.5/10ft
