Stick a secondary lens on it and make it a death ray.........seriously though that's an insane amp draw, not to be fucked with. Also this is liquid cooling territory==$$

What's the 960w chip's dimensions? On my pos phone

LES itself looks to be 85.6mm and just over 105mm for the outside diameter including the holder....

Seriously lots of power.......28500ma Max Current @ TC of 145C!!!

Talk about the COB of all COBs.... I can't see it being used in a grow room without serious distance....

~3.5 inch diameter light-emitting-surface...fuckk

Yeah, would love to see this thing in action......960w of directional light output, anything under five feet would probably go blanco?idk

Shame that Cree's supply chain is more of a joke than a supply chain:eyesmoke:....................Is it that hard to get those T8 led bulbs out to the big box stores?!???!?WTF

Osram should just buy-out these jokesters, have them beat on most fronts except "white"/cob tech ==== if Osram's new household led bulbs are any indication, shouldn't be too long for that either

From the limited info, they claim 3000K is about 25% efficient at 965W. But it fails to specify min, typ or max and it says @ Ta25C (ambient temp) so we have no idea what junction temp they are assuming.

I agree with that. More information would be helpful. Maybe it was left out for a reason? If 25% is the best the cob can achieve, I'm sticking with the more efficient Bridgelux and Cree.
