Believe I know I just spent a nice amount of bread at the grow shop to make some supersoil. Also got that water filter and some other supplies I needed. Had to put one of my fans on the lights in veg tent as the much warmer temps past couple days to lower temps back good. Gonna get away from the bottles as its getting tiring and I want my soil grows to be pure organic. Only bottles I'll use is NFTG and that'll be with a plant here and there. Coco will be mainly used for my hydro beasts and thats it. I like the fast growth and having to pretty much dial your plant really good or the results won't be good. Its all good bro its very early and things can and will get better

I'm ordering some t5's to veg with..I think that MH is just a little too much .

I start with cfls and then go to MH after about three weeks. I made a clone/seedling box with some extension cords sockets and y-splitters. very easy and cheap to make and you can always add more light with y-splitters. I got one 300w cfl in there but I'm gonna get a few more as I want this box very strong. trying to speed up growth as I'm seeing a few members on forums have crazy fast growth so I'm trying to see what I can do to speed things up a bit. I don't think the MH is too much its the soil your working with. When you switch from that I guarantee you will see a big change for the better

You're probably right but I'm just not seeing the growth I expected from the MH...I have pics of plants on here that I was growing in the same soil mix under CFL's that were way bigger and bushier then these...I'm just thinking of the power usage compared to growth...maybe it was just the strain I was growing .

I'm personally not impressed with the MH either. I veg under HPS and save the CFL's for my clones...

So you veg and flower under HPS that's cool...may start doing that myself...what do you start your seedlings under or do you grow with seed ?

I haven't been impressed with the MH growth too much either and have been using it way less. I've been vegging under hps too and I prolly won't use MH anymore. IMHO it makes the plants way to short squat and bushy and I like that but I want some stretch in there too so the hps gives me that plus I still have my bushy plants after being topped. The cfls works wonders for the clones and seedling until they veg under the hps

I think the MH would be great for pure sativas or sativa doms but with what I'm running now the leaves are stacking on top of each other..actually laying on top of one another .

Long as they still growing you should be fine. When they get used to the soil and get back on track they'll take off. Cant wait to see what they look like when they get better
