Idk what I'm doing wrong i planted the first set of seeds (2) a week and a half ago and another pair of seeds 3-4 days ago and nothing has came up yet. i have starting soil germinated seeds room and 73 most of the time. i keep the soil moist, 150w cfl to start it with two side cfl lights. I'm pretty new first time actually just needing some help.

Are you using bag seed or did you purchase seeds with good genetics? I practiced using bag seed but never got more than 30 to 40% germ. But with good seed company I'm about 90% +.

I go paper towel damp in sandwich bag and then ina glasses case on top of the TV or the laptop or the fish tank light had 99% germ rate from buying from demonseeds, attitude seeds and bonza seeds

go paper towel damp in sandwich bag top of Refrigerator work good also

Did you germinate them first?

Planting a seed in soil or growing medium then wetting that medium IS germinating. There is no special method to get a seed to sprout. It's extremely simple. Moisture + warmth = sprout. I can guarantee anyone's seeds that don't sprout are almost always because of lack of warmth or lack of moisture.

Yeah i kind of ment, non soil germination

I don't get your point. When growing in a soil-less medium it's just as simple. Use rockwool, put seed in rockwool moisten it, then keep it in a warm place. It will sprout. Warmth is key. Obviously if you don't have rockwool paper towels work just as well because they hold moisture, but still have to be kept in a warm place.

sorry im talking about putting the seeds in water, or using the paper towel method to germinate.

Basically any method besides putting the seed in soil

I know what you mean. i guess it's like pre germination. You use the towels to see if the seed is viable, not really to germinate.

If it don't start in the towel, it won't start in the dirt.
