Chris Kyle - American Sniper

Nah, I think I'm on Chris' side on this one. So what he had his faults, and was kinda a douche, BUT... having officially recorded many one shot kills, and many of those where directly responsible for saving American soldiers' lives.. Well you can't debate that. The guy was an American hero. After coming home he tries to help others who were having trouble transitioning back home... That is very noble. I'm not gunna say any thing bad about this guy.

Chealsea Manning has more courage.
she's got balls. but a different kind. I'd bet the ranch that 95% of the shit stains in this forum wouldn't have the courage to go into combat as a sniper and do multiple tours doing so. but I bet a the same percentage that wouldn't go to war, would easily cough up secret and top secret information to expose wrong doings within our own government.. it's literally the difference between life and death. never in recent years has the government sentenced someone to death for espionage or treason.

Chris was no hero. America sometimes likes to feed her citizens a nice USA USA USA story ( Can you say Pat Tillman ). I hero has honor. You can't have honor and be a liar at the same time. Iraq was a war we never should have started after we pushed them out of Kuwait. Daddy Bush understood this, Baby Bush was clueless. SO when Chris says everyone he killed deserved it. I think the man is full of himself. I wonder about a person who can kill without any type of remorse or empathy for those he killed. Chris was no hero, just a guy who could kill at a long distance. Karma has spoken for Chris.

Did he do it saving lives? If you believe he did then he is a hero. If you believe he did not, then he is not and should have been tried as a murderer.

Were you on the battlefield with him? I'm going out on a limb and say you weren't.

If you weren't on the battlefield with him, how do you know his acts did not save lives?

I like you see4, so on this we are just going to have to disagree. My opinion of Chris is he just wanted to kill brown people. The guy even lied and said he killed people trying to get food when Katrina happened...why would he say this. Speaks to the persons character .

I'm not debating his character, I'm debating whether his actions saved American soldiers' lives. I believe it did. Whether he is a liar and/or an asshat does not negate the fact his actions saved lives. Now whether he enjoyed doing it or not is a whole other argument in itself.

I was debating his character.
Hitler is very much responsible for what we call the Autobahn. Hitler also had his nation at full employment. Hitler gave German people a believe and confidence in themselves. The V2 rocket pioneered the start of rocket technology, a direct result of Hitler and his Nazi party.
we all know Hitler was an evil motherfucker. Even assholes can be viewed as doing some good by some.
