Requested:
What top bin 5000k CXA3590 are available to ship? Do you have CD or CB?
Kingbrite Response:
For CXA3590 5000K, we have CB in stock.
Invoiced
CREE CXA3590, 5000K/50F/CB/77V

DHL took 5 days from China. but in terrible packaging

attached is what arrived, do not have a meter to test yet.

When I requested invoice I asked for CXA3590-0000-000R00CB50H. Handwriting looks like 80 CRI, but it looks like
CXA3590-0000-000R0HCB50H. is it a big difference? and im missing 1000 lumin, it that a big deal. he said top bin wasnt available at time of shipping.

That code 50H is a 2-step order code 50F is a 4-step order code which I have in the 5000K. You're good.

Wow...some big numbers right around the corner...
For sure, amazing possibilities and veg is a great place to take advantage of it. I have had to extrapolate the graphs to figure out the current droop, temp droop an Vf at very low currents, so I didn't know for sure if the current droop numbers were correct. But that is relatively easy to check with the luxmeter just by swapping out drivers/dimming drivers and checking current droop with pulsed measurements. The tests show that efficiency does continue to increase significantly even at ridiculously low currents like CXA3070 @ 150mA (5W)

The DHL packaged wasnt padded, just the regular plastic. oversized with a single layer of that white stuff. I tossed it so I cant post. 5 days included weekend from china to east coast. 7 days from paypal date. In reality I guess that shipping this way is safe, and insured. And we are not buying at bulk discount ,yet- @REALSTYLES. So im guessing their cost is like 10 if they are like how US runs distribution/manufact. So it might cost more to package well vs re shipping damaged items.

as always, thanks @SupraSPL. where would we be without your help, on the many boards. though i wonder how youre utilizing 100's of packs of crees.

@SupraSPL in another thread you said cost @ .20 to .25 is reason to not drive harder, and heat. im around .07, and its free for now, and looking at apline11's with 1050B, would the 3590 CD be better than 3070 BB? ill work on efficiency when building out just trying to go fast now.

He said $45 for DHL so I asked him for China post. $10, will be interesting to see how that works out. Paid on the 6th, looks like it left Shenzen on 8th.

THNX GTP. is $0.07/kWh service fee + delivery + supply cost? If so that is a smokin deal. But as much as I love the $ savings on the electric bill, the heat reduction is really phenomenal in mid-large size grows. It allows me to pack more light into my space than ever before and keep it below 80F without fancy ventilation and without noise. Because of the increased productivity in my space (tripled yield, sometimes quadrupled), the lamp paid for itself in about 21 days not even taking electrical savings into account. Yes I have gone through several hundred packs, but not hundreds of hundred packs. But if some of the upcoming corporate grow ops get on board, I think they would be well advised to go with COB vegging, at the least. They are planning on growing millions of pounds.

As far as CXA3070 BB vs CXA3590 CD @ 1050mA, yes I would go with BB. Cost 25% more/PAR W, 10% more light/W and better spread. The 3590 option is simpler though which can be nice too. I use 3590 CDs currently but I plan on switching to 3070 BBs when I get the chance.

Ya a little bit goes a LONG way when it comes to moms and clones.
White Dragon is suppose to finish 45-50 days of flower and the yield is suppose to be high. It's gonna become a mom after testing it. Do I get a HLG-185H-C500B and dim it during the summer?
