Marines are known for being effective and following orders. They do it better then the other branches, the best in fact. Their commander gave orders to evacuate and save lives, they executed. If they would have stayed, most likely the individual marines wanted to, ultimately death and destruction would have occurred. Someone with more Intel then us made a call to get everyone out, that mission was accomplished.

Things aren't as partisan as you would think when it comes to intelligence, most things are available on intranet wikis. Individual advisors could influence and change intelligence of course. Both parties want to keep their government, otherwise they cannot exploit the political system to their advantage. They fight on television but sit down and discuss things like real people when shit hits the fan.
