Sunlight questions

Hey yall I got a few questions regarding hours of sunlight.
First, I have a location that gets direct sunlight from 8:30 am to 4:40 pm. Then it gets HEAVY shade. Will this be sufficient for flowering cannabis? Will they flower earlier than the others? Also, is morning sun better than afternoon sun?
I really want to get some geurillas going deeper in the woods but there are only small spots of sunlight for 5-9 hours only. Thanks all

Do you lose hours when the sun drops to the south as the seasons progress? Where I live tends to be foggy/marine layer in the mornings and cool at night. So I would sacrifice morning light for evening if I had a choice. Early shaded plants tend to finish a little sooner, I have even noticed the north side of a plant can be a week ahead of the rest of the plant. So you have 8 hours of direct sun, that's not too bad. You'll do alright.

Morning (Eastern) sun tends to be superior no matter what you are growing. When scouting grow sites, I carry a compass to confirm the position. To me, site selection may be the most critical part of any outdoor grow. In order of importance I rank sites like this: 1. Water source 2. Security. 3. Light 4. Soil Conditions If any of the 4 criteria are not up to my criteria, I move on to another site. It makes little sense to go to the trouble and risk of a guerilla grow unless all factors are taken in to account.

Care to explain the morning sun importance? Where I live is foggy in the mornings, so I would choose the evening sun first. Guerrilla is always going to be a choice of sun exposure vs. camouflage.

The main reason to choose a Eastern exposure is less heat. A southern exposure works as well but tends to be hotter. Western is hottest and can result in more waterings than I care to do.

Yeah, I'm the opposite, it's cool at night even for most of the summer so I choose that afternoon sun. I thought you were gonna get into some light spectrum stuff or something. I wonder if that intense afternoon sun affects bud maturation good or bad compared to getting more morning sun.
