1st time grower. hows my setup? and my girls?

the grow setup:

1. Soil- happyfrog potting soil
2. lights- 2 4ft 32watt fluro tubes. with 4 32watt cfls
3. himidity and temp- 50% and 75*f
4.nutes- general hydroponics flora trio

the bigger ones seem to be going ok, but the little ones seem overwatered and overfed.
So my rule of thumb is water when the pot gets light, feed them 1/3 nutes till they are in veg and gradually increase nutes.
But i'm loving your ingenuity man well done.
 
yeh the big one is the mother i took about 6 clones from her 5 days ago. and 4 from the smaller one. there all bag seed. i have a hard time finding out when to water. i try to go by the weight of the pot but its hard sometimes and i check the soil but idk. maybe i need a moisture meter. thats one of the biggest mistakes iv been making. and any advice on my clones thats one thing im relying on.

yeh ive been doing nutes at a very low level for the clones. the 2 littles ones were clones from the mom that didnt do so well. but i transplanted them and they have been doing excellent ever since. im very worried about my cloning method and how much light ill need for about 10 plants
 
I tried to open a couple of your piks. It took too long. If I may give you some advice. REesize your piks to smaller than 2 mb per image, or even a bit smaller. This will allow you to upload faster, and us to open an image faster. :)

I wouldn't even water the clones very much at all, just keep the soil slightly moist as they feed through the leaves and you'll end up rotting the stem. Use a very light seaweed solution and spray the foliage a few times a day and keep them in the humidity dome.
Once they root you can start watering. I've rotted enough clones to know lol, trust me on that one. Oh yeah 2 questions, have you sexed your plants and did you use any rooting hormone powder, gel, honey?

well i dont water my clones just mist about 2-3 times a day. should i do this for about 7-14 days? or when i see a healthy root system developing?

ok. im just nervous about budding them. it all seems so easy but i feel im doing something wrong. the more and mroe i learn the more i feel im fucking up. im learning so much yet im so worried about how my grow is doing. i appreciate you taking time to help me....im gonna keep people updated on the grow. hopefully people will have some helpful tips to add. thanks again and let me know if you notice anything suspicious about my grow. im buying a light soon should i do 150 watt hps or a 125 fluro? there about 30$ difference. im doing a closet grow and hps might be a bit hot for the closet...lmk
 
1x150watt hps shouldn't get that hot. If I was u I would def go for the hps u will get a better yield than from a fluorescent. An I noticed on 1-2 of your plants that the bottom leaves were yelling an falling off. How far along are they?

yeh i think im gonna just go with the hps and get some good ventilation. yes the 2 smaller plants in the fish tank are about 1 week old they were in my cloning dome for about 1 and half weeks. so total about 2 1/2 weeks. yeh im not very good with the cloning yet. i woke up today and alot of the bottom leaves are turning yelllow should i clip them off or just let nature do its thing?
 
Let nature do its thing. They will fall off by them selfs. If your 3-5 weeks into veg an u still have yellowing leafs and there still falling off then u need to up the nitrogen. Vegging plants need a lot of nitrogen to bargain with but don't go crazy and give it to much.
 
Hey i can back up ghost on the hps , i did a grow with cfls a couple months back.. was my first one and im doing one now with a 150watt.. dude i have problems gettion my room warm enough without the cfls :D

yeh im just gonna leave them alone continue misting twice a day. how long do fresh clones take to root. i used a generic cloning powder

good to know bro i think im def gonna go hps....now when i get the hps 150watt. should i still do fluro lights for veg and cloning or use hps for all 3....cloning veg and flower? btw thanks for your help bro much appreciated
 
use fluorescent for cloning. But u can use hps after clones have a good root system going. Give it 2-3 weeks and u should be able to put them under hps.
