So my dude gets really bad panic attacks, and weed works miracles for managing them. It feels rediculous to complain about dank weed, but sometimes he'd rather just try to take the edge off without getting super stoned off of a hit of good shit. I know theres like butter and dabbing and shit but that's going in the opposite direction, right?

I'm super sensitive to weed now, I don't get panic attacks but really strong weed is not my favorite. It's more like hallucinating for me, which I've done, and perfer to choose when vs. getting blasted by one hit of dank bud. A CBD rich indica works wonders when trying to just take the edge off. Dabs and shit are too strong and edibles last a long time, for someone with panic attacks it could be too long. CBNs are cool for anxiety too. You can legally buy CBD oil off the net apparently; haven't tried it. Mix it with a hit a weed your probably gravy. Strain is fairly important for sure. Mixing with tobacco is a decent idea but I don't think it really does good things in the long run of tobacco use for anxiety based off personal experience and my terrible habitual inability to quit smoking when I know I should. I even smoke organic, still fucks with me. I will quit though! anways, good luck.

Tobacco messes up my buzz, it doesn't ruin it, just changes it....least it did when I was a teen and it turned me off to it ever since.

If the weed seems too strong--and that might be the wrong word, cause maybe mold or some other junk got on it, I found rinsing the weed in a strainer with cold water can help. Rinse it well and let it drip for while, then if its sunny, let it dry in the sunshine.

Some weed used to give me a headache hours later, rinsing it usually help but I lost a little weed doing it. Now I get clean, good bud and no more headaches, yes

Only take one hit than wait a few minutes, take another if he needs it. It's just a matter of finding the right dosing. I take a hit or two if i want my symptoms to go away, I smoke a whole bowl if i want to get high. Pure medical/high cbd-low thc strains would be best for anxiety and panic attacks.

DO NOT DO THIS! Why would you weaken your pot so you can smoke the same amount rather than just smoking less? That's like buying high proof vodka and dumping half out and watering it down.

Yeah man but what if U want to just puff and puff for awhile and then not get a headache later that day ?

Its fuck up for sure but sometimes U gotta do things that doesn't make sense. Something was wrong with the street bud--maybe they shoved it inside a gas tank to hide it, I don't know but the weed worked better for me once I gave the weed a bath, no more headaches and I could puff on it for a nice long time

Yeah I'm sure glad those dark days are over with and I got MM,

Yeah i guess when your dealing with unknown weed. I forgot about a friend that had to wash her weed a couple time because the girl she was getting it from doused it with perfume to hide the smell, stupid C. I smoked it once and wouldn't touch it after that, my friend even went back a couple times before finally getting a sore throat from smoking perfume, then finally complained, but she still wanted it because they were $150/oz's.

I get headaches sometimes, but usually when there more then 2 or 3 of us hanging out, we smoke a bowl each, every hour to hour and a half, so 2-4 bowls every hour or so all night long. I smoke all day by myself and never have an issue, but i moderate, my friends are ridiculous and a bad influence..lol

Perfume to hide the smell, hmmm, that might be more common then we thought

My headaches have stopped pretty much since I went medical, thou certain strains can get me too high so to say, hard to explain, I like more of a body buzz vs a head buzz.

Smelly proof bags hide the smell but the bags make noise if patted down..perfume, yeah some people are such idiots

Yeah man don't try dabs or butter. Try mixing a bowl with a blend of herbs and a little Mary j. Try herbs like peppermint, lavander, chamomile, rosehips, or other herbs that wouldn't be harsh. A lot of those herbs are actually a pleasant smoke or vapor If your into those type things. Give it a try it might Help out with the Mary j being to potent and might be enjoyable.

Can someone on here please recommend a great strain for panic attacks/general anxiety? I'd rather burn and enjoy the experience than burn and have to pop a chill pill just so I don't have a PA...takes the joy out of it conking out 30 mins after...The best smoking experience regarding panic attacks/anxiety for me so far has been Bubblegum and Purple Haze, budder too [odd].... thanks in advance. Mango is a great strain for anxiety imo. It is a very relaxed happy giggly euphoric high. Social use is enjoyable as well but it tends to make you a little lazy. Mango kush has great anxiety relief benefits too and is more stimulating so less laziness. Hopefully those will help you out.

Have any of you tried girl scout cookies? It's everywhere where Im at right now, but am kinda hesitant to try it as I already have my hands on some gnarly OG..Anyone's input is greatly appreciated. I'm basically looking for a strain with excellent anxiolytic properties that isnt too obscure to find...

Right on, I think I'm gonna snatch some GSC up. The reviews are just way too tempting. Sounds like a winner!! It looks other-worldly too..right when I thought Durban Poison or Blueberry looked lethal. YUM. :hump:o_O

Just an idea, but if you grow your own, save a little more of the top leaves to mix with the buds and roll it into a joint. Seems to make it burn better and the buzz is not as intense as doing bong hits, say.

Would it work to mix some trim/shake with the good stuff ? Might blunt the anxiety provoking aspects of THC while at the same time potentially bolstering the CBD content ( afaik higher concentrations are found in the stalk and trim).

(I'm a newb so take what I say with a grain of salt).

Genetics.. Look for a low thc, maybe higher cbd.. they are out there.. Right now I am growing Critical Cure.. Critical Mass x CBD Mother from CBD Crew. It is supposed to be something like 5% THC and 8% CBD.. I bet it would be closer to what you are looking for than something like Kush, Diesel, Skunk or Haze..
