LED Companies w/ LINKS

Your welcome, sir. I can tell you from first hand experience that Area 51 has some top of the line LED lights, with only Apache Tech, possibly being better.
How big of a grow area are you trying to cover?

First time out, either4 x 8 or 9 x 5, but I plan to expand some after the first grow.

I may skip LED at the outset.
I can understand that, the initial cost of an LED set up is pretty high, and most folks don't want to sink that much into things right from the get go. Hopefully, after a few grows in your new set up, you can allocate some funds towards LED lights. Once you do, you'll be glad that you did :)

If I had the time to learn to string the COBs together myself right now, I would, but i've got so many other areas to practice, like sexing/SCROG and figuring the nute routine, that I'm okay with leaving that for the bonus round.

The cost of an high quality LED unit, is definitely higher than "commercial" products you know(most come from the same place)and it is obvious, but it is also much more performant, ensuring real powers, best spectrum, and can be guaranteed to last for many years without any problems, with only easy maintenance.
Also in case of problems you can fix it alone with commercially part or you can upgrade with new compatible parts.
In my opinion, if I make this type of investment, this must continue to maintain this value throughout its life, and must guarantee the results.
Personally on the scene of a purely commercial, would not buy anything,
in general there is no value, the most interesting projects and performance remain DIY user project and product...

Hey BK I respect everyone here cuz I consider myself still a noob (been growing a year). My big room is already full of mars LEDs which I know u don't like but it is what it is. My small room is 8x10x8 tall. My question is I have $900 to spend on led lighting and would like to try a different brand against what I have in big room so which lights would u recommend? Anyone with led knowledge please chime in. Thanks!

I would recommend Area 51, in general. The problem is your $900 budget, you simply can't cover an 8x10 grow with LED's, for that price.
BTW, I wasn't calling you a shitty grower, but Mars Hydro are shitty LED's, that is a fact.

U don't think 2 of the rw150 would be big enough to do the job inthat size of room?

I'm terrible at math but my estimation is you would need around 18 - 20 rw150s to get good coverage in a 8x10. General rule of thumb is 1k HPS per 4x4 or 4 rw150s. 8x10 is more than 4 times the size of a 4x4. On a $900 budget you are better off grabbing some 1K hps fixtures, doing a few runs, and then come back to led if you are still interested and have the proper funds

I have 4 1000 watt hps in there already and not impressed with them at all. Especially when u figure the electric bill into everything.

Nice list. Switch out CXA's for the xhp's...or just add them at the top of the list.
CXA's are still beating the xhp's even at super low currents. No prices yet on xhp's, so maybe could run them stupid soft if the price I right...but from my quick analysis the cxa has the advantage.
