Will too much nitrogen inhibit bud growth? Fox Farm Trio question

maybe its just a mix of everything idk anyway the point is she has what she needs to get the job done from what I've seen others do. I just can't figure out why she isn't doing more after two weeks since she threw hairs. Maybe she just needs time.

Marijuana stages; Germination Stage 1-2 weeks -Seedling Stage 1-2 weeks - Vegation stage (1-3 months) Pre-flower stage (1-2 weeks) Flower Stage (early, middle,late) Harvest !!!! In Auto's the Vegation stage last only 2 (two) weeks rest of time is flower time

its not an auto. not sure what you were trying to tell me other than that
 
Do you have other plants that are further along? Otherwise I would bet a buck you have some type of light leak(s).. try taking a half hour off your timer... Good luck!

no this is the first time I've made it this far. I know i have tiny leaks but how can you get passive intake with a tent without light leaking? i only have the bottom of my vents unvelcroed and any amount you open them they leak light
 
That's fine if the tent is in a closet or generally dark area, but that shit wont cut it if you have bright lights all the time.. You will be dealing with a 8-9 week strain turning into a 13-16 weeker that is still skimpy.. Good luck!

the tent is in my closet and i always keep the bedroom light off. I have a couple questions tho for anyone who wants to answer. I crawled in my tent just not and turned all the lights off and i never thought about it but CFLs glow for 15 mins after they go off. Would that hurt it? Another question, If CFLs have such bad penetration and dissipate quickly, then why isn't a CFL 15 feet away the same as darkness?
 
I see your point but imo it's a mixture of everything eg,growing from seed,insuffrcient lighting and mabay a small amount of lightleak,but I think if you are patient you will be pleasantly surprised.she does look like she's ready to go so give her anouther week and see how she is then...best of luck mate....keep us posted because she does look well....

thanks best advice I've had so far. I climbed in the tent and nailed down a way to get passive intake without leaks. I checked my timer and one of the "buttons" was half pressed down in the middle of my dark cycle. Not sure if it was registering enough to make the light kick on but ill bet it was. Anyway she hasn't herm'd, knock on wood, and as far as i can tell I've corrected any problems. I will try and not get my panties in another wad for another week or so and i will update pics and see what everyone thinks. thanks again

:finger: I actually told you what your problem was.. Your light was coming on during your dark cycle.. You could have been patient as you want and if you hadn't fixed that you would be SOL..

You seem to have it from here, and don't seem to b appreciating my advice so I shall wish you the best n check out..

The best way to check for light leaks in a tent isnt to climb in the tent durring lights off & look for light .

A better method is to have the room the tent is is completely dark durring lights on , if you see light comming out of the tent then you have light entering durring dark period .

However i dont think light leaks are the issue , your feeding schedule sure sounds excessive to me , especially since your using FFOF soil , the soil your using has bat guano , crab meal & worm castings in the mix , just the nutes in the soil would grow a kick ass plant going 12/12 from seed without ever adding any fertilizer , 3 weeks isnt enough time for the plant to exhaust the nutes within the soil & the heavy feeding schedule is most likely the cause of the slow bud progress .

Too much N will slow bud growth as well as extend the finish time from 8 weeks to up to 12 weeks , you dont need burnt leaves to be overfeeding , slow bud progress is a positive indication of over feeding , especially Nitrogen .

I grow 12/12 from clone & have experienced this several times before i learned about over fertilization .

this is exactly what i said in the first couple posts i made. Or what i was asking rather. I thought this was the problem but no one gave me a straight yes or no if that was it. However, every source I've seen says FFOF feeds for up to the first 3 weeks then add nutes. Im not concerned with P or k atm I'm trying to stop veg and induce flower in every way i can other than lights cause obviously thats fine. So stop N, for now, and see what happens. Btw i am going easy on PK nutes till i see what happens. I purchased a couple light just now i hope will help. The light leaks are taken care of reguardless of wether it was the problem or not, the soil is flushed and the runoff is around 6.5. She only had bloom nutes and i guess thats all i can do for now. Ill update with pics
