Does this look like over watering?

Having some issues with my current grow. I have 1 NL X BB and two super skunk going. The lower leaves are yellowing badly and it's creeping up the plant. This is the worst one.

I'm trying to not water too much, but then again I have to give them water to give them nutes. At first I thought I might need more N so I went max recommended dose on the VEG Ferts and got a bit of nute burn and the leaves continued to yellow. . This leads me to believe that these pots are just not draining well enough. I tried these plant spas as an experiment. Maybe it's a failed experiment.

Here are all the details
Strain: Super Skunk.. Topped many times.
Pot: 2 gallon plant spa. (I feed and water from the top to avoid salt buildup)
Age: 20 days since the flip
Medium: Roots Organic on top of 4 inches of perlite. Topped with sand to kill the gnats.
Light: I am running two 150 W HPS lights side by side in a 6 sqft space. Lights are around 10 inches from canopy. No signs of heat stress.
Temps: Average 78 lights on.. 66 at night..
Ventilation: one small fan inside tent for air flow. 4 inch vortex fan and carbon filter
Nutes: GH Foranova VEG and Bloom. I just began adding bloom. I also add 1 tsp of Cal/Mag with each feeding.
Water: Tap water that sits out for a few days.
Micos: Great White
PH: I ph nutes and water to 5.8

I'm really not sure if this plant will make it all the way through flower at this rate. That'd be ok though, I have two more and to be honest I wouldn't mind starting the whole grow from scratch in 5 gal smart pots. I could also transplant these plants into smart pots if that might help.

What's the verdict? Is there hope for a cure?

Take the crap leaves off to see if the calmag is working...its really hard to tell when you leave the rotting leaves on

Yea, I stripped the yellows two days ago.. Now they're back.. Maybe up the Cal Mag to two tsp per gallon? Right now I use 1 tsp which is the regular dose. The directions say you can add two tsp..

Cal/Mag & Zinc my friend. I would try for 2 Tsp. Give a foliage spray and soil spray. Foliage spraying is often overlooked but can sometimes speed up recovery during a deficiency

Too much cal mag might cause lockup. Was this happening before you put into flower? and how many feedings have you been feeding the bloom nutes and cal mag?

Yes, I had some yellowing before flower.
I had this plant in a 1quart pot for around 6 weeks in Roots organic. I was feeding 1/2 strength veg nutes. Then I repotted and vegged for around 3 more weeks. Then I flipped 20 days ago. I have been adding cal/mag with every feeding. I've been feeding every other watering so feeding about once per week. I have not been adding Cal/Mag with the regular waterings.

For the first two weeks of flower I was still using veg nutes because they looked a bit pale. five days ago I went to full strength bloom with cal/mag and also 1 tbs molasses per gallon.

Tips look slightly burnt. That sand is probably not letting your media get air very well. If it doesn't dry your roots are going to suffer. Try swapping that sand for perlite.

Ahhh, I scraped out all of the sand. There was about a 1.5 inch layer. It had turned to almost concrete. Since I added Molasses last week my problem accelerated. I think the sand and molasses turned to rock which in turn wasn't allowing oxygen to the roots which were just under the sand.

I topped with fresh fox farms to cover the roots since I'm out of perlite. The pots are way lighter now. I gave them a bit of water..

Now that I think about it, this happened on my last grow also.. I thought it was cal/mag at first then I thought my soil PH was off so I remember I scraped off the first few inches and topped with fresh soil thinking that the fresh N would green things up. In the end it did work, but not for the reasons I thought.

Oh boy... Still having issues.. So many yellow leaves. I feel like it's stunting the growth of my buds..

Today I flushed really well then I finished with a gallon of ph'd nutes and 1.5 tsp of calmag...Then I pulled offf most of the yellow leaves. I'll see how they look in the morning. If the yellowing continues I may scrap this grow. Electricity here is just too expensive to use on low quality grow.

I have read mixed thoughts on testing runoff PH.. After I flushed today and ran a gallon of PH'd butes through I tested the runoff. I was getting reading close to 7.0. That is odd since I had just ran 5.8 through there. I'm not sure if that really means much. Some will say it does, others will say it doesn't.

Quite a few issues here. The plant is burnt from salt build up in the 'soil' you used, also you have added extra nutes to make things better burning them again. Once you have salt build up the plant cant take up N and other nutes giving the you the leaf drop. Sand will do nothing to stop gnats as they come out of the bottom of the pot. Ph should be 6.5. When you only water a little you get more salt build up in the dry pockets(always water till run off).
No there is no hope to turn it around bro once this has happened, the final weight will be reduced a lot.
