First time growing need advice

Hi everyone
After reading a lot online in the past a few weeks and I mean A LOT. I came to the conclusion that I don't know nothing about growing. So instead of reading tons of info in different methods and techniques I should choose one method and stick to it.
Here is my set up:
2 closet. Separated. Veg room and bloom room.
Veg room
(1 w 0.4 d 2 h) meters
4 fluorescent at 20 watts each hanging from sealing with chane.
One computer fan and an intake airhole that takes room temperature air at around(20-24) Centigrade
Bloom room
(1.4 w 0.4 d 2 h) meters
One 400 watts metal halide lamp
One high RPM fan that takes the air from right under the lamp and also an intake air hole

Here is my problem. I live smwhere that I don't have access to many of the materials suggested in different guides specialy in the field of grow medium and brand name fertelizers.
So what's the best growing medium and method for me to grow cannabis with my limited materials??
Here is what I have available as grow medium:
- Peatmoss that is pre mixed with 30% perlite and vermiculite
- coco peat
- potting soil that is not sterilized
- rockwool that's is not made for planting. It's used as building material
- sand that I got from river
- Lava rocks in different size
I have 3 locally made chemical fertelizers. One is 18-18-18. The other is high in N. and the other one is high in P and K. I don't have access to coco specific fertelizer, sterilized potting soil or any organic stuff.

I'd get a hps light for flower unless you are considering mh to help control stretch. I'd go with the 18-18-18 fert and the peat moss/perlite mixture. You could go with the coir as well, but I'd only use that if you can find a separate bag of perlite to mix with it at 70/30 ratio.

Your going to need to order a ph/ec meter, don't go too cheap but the Milwaukee brand is acceptable. You will also need some bottles of ph up and ph down for adjustments.

I'm surprised you can't get the organic stuff to make your own soil that you'd only need to feed with water(and not worry about pH). Are there no farms around?

Hey you can get everything u need for your purpose at Amazon or Ebay. That 400 watt light is too much for a small closet please learn a bit more about fertilizer - P H and the growing environment u need to create buy Marijuana Horticulture the indoor outdoor Medical Growers Bible author Jorge Cervantes. If it's your first grow...... I'd grow one or 2 plants in soil full term and learn as you go. don't try anything fancy
keeping plant alive is not hard... to have her flourish and harvest some decent smoke takes some practice

Hey limomax, good to see your taking the leap to grow. Your closet grow should turn up rather nice for a personal grow, and because I love the ScroG technique I am going to shout out what I say to all other new closet and tent growers...ScroG that bitch out. ScroGs can be a bit tricky and it will take quite a few grows to nail the technique down, but at end of the day you are always left with a canopy height of your cannabis controlled by you, so you never have to worry about "if your plant is going to out grow the space". Your Veg area seems to be ok with the fluros, but me personally would put a little bit more air circulation in the area.

The Bloom room, well for starters I would swap out the MH light and get a HPS light. The HPS tends to have more oranges and reds in its spectrum which mimics the early morning and evening sunrises/sunsets in the autumn. Not sure how your planning on using the "High RPM fan", or even what your definition of high RPM is, but make sure you have a good fan that can accommodate a carbon filter as well as turn the air over in your bloom room 5x within a minute. So by your measurements you will want a fan that can move roughly 225cfm (I didn't factor in the heat index caused by a 400 watt light, which you can add 10%-15% to the 225cfm). This will not only help control the temp from a HID light in a tight space, but will also create a negative pressure, which in turn will draw fresh air from your intakes, which will be a fresh supply of CO2 for your plants.

I would choose coco out of all those options, and the internet is your friend for online ordering of some quality nutrients. Coco specific nutrients in general are just higher in Calcium and magnesium than your other liquid based hydro nutrients.

I used to live in Canada for the past decade but had to come to my own country for my fathers illness and death. So here I am in some messed up country in middle east. And I am gonna be here for awhile. E-bay is a joke. Internet is filtered by the government. Actually the only reason I have access to rollitup is cause the URLs name does not contain any alarming word such as weed, cannabis, marijuana, high, 420 etc. enough on the conditions over here.
No ec meter. I figured I give them nestle bottled water ha?
No ph meter. I got some ph paper indicating between 5 to 9. I think it should serve the purpose.
No ph up/down
No eBay
No books about cannabis for sure
There are some farms of course but materials they use is different than what i read on the net like worm casting, bat guano and such. It really is a chalange to me so plz help me grow my own weed I am tired of smoking locally made hash or crappy weed available here compared to Vancouver.
Thx again for all the advice guys really need all I can learn to make this work.

I won't switch the MH with HPS cause it's already installed in the closet and don't wana spend more now. Maybe one day I add a 400 HPS to the room or move the MH to veg room and have a HPS for bloom. And just have young seedling and clones under fluorescent. I would like to add small wall mounted fans to blow on the plants on each room. I would like to go with scrog technique but it all depends on how well I can keep my plants. Since no EC/PH/humidity meter and very limited fertilizers and chemicals to help me keep plants for a long time I might have to go for sog technique. Shorter plant life must mean shorter time I have to keep the medium balanced. So idk. It all depends how the grow goes. Still have a lot to learn along the way. Thx all

were you at man ,i was in iraq and i could get the dank den,when i was there , never had any problem in al asid ,al techem,liberty,anaconda really easy at anaconda .i would just pick a spot that didn't have a lot of foot traffic and never had any filter problems.

I get what u guys are saying but trust me I live In a compelitely different world. It's not like there is home depot or anything even slightly close to it so i can buy what the master says in his guide or book. What I have is what u can find in thousand mile Radius of here. Help me work with what I have please. So far I found 3 great suggestion for grow medium:
1) the Peatmoss that is mixed with 30% perlite + vermiculite
2) non sterilized potting soil mixed with 30% smashed lava rocks
3) coco mixed with 30% smashed lava rocks
My concern with coco base medium is that I won't Have coco specific fertelizer. Isnt that gonna mess things up a bit in my medium over time?

i no exactly how your living ,what you should do is what i did when i needed something ,have a friend or relative send you a care package ,they don't check coming in just out .good luck bro ,keep your fucking head down you'll be alright

Yeah I am planing on getting some stuff from Canada and ask a friend/relative send it to me. All packages bigger than an envelope will go throu a 20 day or so quaranty period for extensive investigation. Specialy if it's from western countries. God knows when I can get brand name so for now I have to go with what I have in this godforsaken country

yes when i was there it took about 2 to 3 weeks to get my package from home ,just remember when ordering things that the atmospher is different there and some stuff will explode or inplode you no like chips and cokes do when you go from flat land to the moutains.be cool bro it will work out in the long run if nothing else follow those ugly ass sheep around they have and grab up the shit .believe me heat and cold won't be a problem there .do you have access to ice there if so rig you up a diy ac out of a bucket with fan.watch out for that water to it has a lot of flouride in it to .be cool man hope i could help a little

No it's filtered / censored by the government in big scale. No social networks like Facebook. No YouTube or even photobucket and of course no porn.
Anyways I might try 3 or 4 different grow medium side by side depending on how many of the bag seed germinate. I ll keep u guys posted and try to post a pic of the room
