Are medical cards from other states transferable to IL?

I don't live in the great state of Illinois, but I have several friends who do- one of whom currently has a medical card here in Colorado.

We would like to know if that carries any legal standing in IL. AZ does, for example. Yet, many other states do not.

as far as i knew NO card was good ANYWHERE unless you were in the state it was given in.
but im definitely no expert on this.

Several states recognize one another's cards. Apparently not Illinois...

im not from a med state but know lots of people that are. so my understanding is limited.
