That just made me laugh growurowndank. And I know noone held a gun to my head. I asked for help. Then I took all ur advices and combined them together and went with what I thought was best for me. I'm horrible at building crap. The buckets all i had to do was drill a hole or two for tubing n throw net pots in them. But i think I'll be much happier with this system and setup in the long run.

DWC is so easy, it's just that there's lots of contradicting advice out there.

The key to getting it right is ignoring everyone else's advice and only listening to mine! :fire:

Use small 3 inch netcups with wide mesh, those hydroton balls. Get a 3 inch hole cutting bits, drill some small holes in the lid for air tubes, and put 2 air tubes + 2 stones per tote. Get some decent air pumps and you're done.

Make sure to only use hydroponic nutrients in DWC.

Imo, soil is harder than DWC.

I don't write on this very often but bamm said a mouthful my pick is one of my rooms ebb n flow 8" baskets 20,000 watts started a hidden room in my house 1 1000 watt Remember common sence, less is always better as far as yield strain has everything to do with it !!! Like Bamm said there are alot of assholes .

I will DIY with the best of people but when you can buy these lids with net pots built into them. I say fuck it, i'm going with convenience:

I use sulfuric acid because I want increased sulfur levels for more frost. You can use what you wish for PH Up and Down, but why not use something beneficial instead. I'm confident enough in myself that I can be careful for the 3 seconds it takes to mix the sulfuric acid with enough water to be safe.

A DIY DWC done right looks exactly like a pro system. Buckets + Net Pot Lid + Ebb Flow Fittings + hoses to connect, no duct tape, no light leaks, no root rot, just savings and a top quality system. The duct tape + tote + cut hole with sissors option is what the idiots who should have bought a system make. If you are one of them it was a good choice to buy.

Growing weed is like anything in the world. If you want to be good at it u must do lot's of research and also apply what you have learned to real life situations. Growing is a bitch because what works for some plants may not work for others. All plants are different, different strains! even when they are the same strain they could be different phenos! Or the same pheno expressing different traits...bottom line is don't act like you already grew the shit, you definitely won't get the quality you desire and if you do your not aiming high enough. You're not getting 4 pounds...That's like never playing basketball in your life and thinking your going to be able to beat LeBron James in a 1 on 1 game....to be honest u could be running 4 1000watt lights in 4 separate tents and still not pull 4 lbs... you will most likely pull a lb a 1000 watt like everyone else that did good for their first grow...Also u should stop being such a follower. I agree. Seems hydroponics is easier. And I think it will be best for me and my needs. I'm not lazy. I work full time and have 5 kids to raise. Time is an essence.

Thanks. I'm not good at building stuff. Shit wud be duct taped leaking everywhere if i built one. Lol

That system looks pretty dope tho. Found it on supercloset.Com in hydroponics and supplies section. It is a nice hydro setup. 6.5 gallon grow sites. I cud of bought just an ebb n flo n added my own pump n stones. But this things got everything you need.
