i have been discriminated towards for being white. but it was positive discrimination that helped me advance up the ladder of every job i ever had.

edit: tall handsome white male with facial hair, more specifically. studies show more positive discrimination on those factors.

last september i was stumbling around manhattan drunk as hell at 3am. not only did the cops i asked for directions not arrest me for public drunkenness, but i was easily able to catch a cab. because i'm white.

2)You were in public at 3am
3)you spoke to police

Each of these alone might be proof that you're white.

thus it is not discrimination based on your skin color.

I wouldn't call it discrimination, but standards are definitely set differently for different races. I feel much more is expected of me because of my skin color than other people. I'm white so that means there are no obstacles other than my own work ethic in my way to success. Same thing with being male.

Imo, economic class is a better indicator of discrimination, race is just a coincidence

It's not as bad as others by far, but to say it's non existent is naive

The premise of this thread relies on the fact it exists, saying it doesn't because I'm white is just as crazy as saying only white people can be racist

White folks usually pick me for their team because I'm black. When they realize I suck at basketball they're disappointed. Disappointment is the problem.
