Looking for a bag of oranges.

I'm looking for some beans with an orange flavor and nice potency. I prefer regulars not femmies.
Looking at a few, so far the front runners are bodhi and GGG:

Bodhi's Satsuma

GGG's orange juice

rare dankness tangerine kush or t. trainwreck

sin city's tangerine power

There are a few oranges from less reputable breeders or breeders I know little about.
Dutch Passion, tga's agent orange or jillybean, High Quality seeds, homegrown fantaseed, or white label.

Probably will grab two packs so 20+ beans to find a nice pheno. I'm digging the bodhi's satsuma, as it is from a cali-o cut and from what I've read about bodhi 20 beans should score me a nice keeper. Any thoughts out there?

I gave up after 4, but the amigo that got the rest of the beans got [ I believe] an orange pheno - still waiting on a smoke report.

A single Tangerine Power had orange smell and taste, but something else in the mix like mint that got stronger as it cured.

I'm on an orange hunt atm also - have Kosher Tangie, Tangielope @ 21 days bloom, and a couple of Agent Orange about to hit 12/12. The KT smells very orange. :weed:

Agent Orange?….i've never smoked it, but from what i've heard it's a very powerful orange flavor, that even the bong will smell like oranges after you smoke it lol

then again, that's just word of mouth….I haven't tasted an orange flavor since around 2005-2006ish that was the last time i had some powerful orange tasting bud….i've had lots of stuff that smelled like it though.

I germinated 4 Blood Orange, and only 2 popped. Of the 2 only one was female (not a very big sample size), but that lone gal turned out great! Smells like Orange Pledge, and tastes like orange jube jubes (I'm hoping this doesn't change as it sits in the jar). Very nice hybrid buzz to it, nice and frosty, dense nugs (good yield). It's an absolutely fantastic strain that will be grown from clone for the foreseeable future.

I also have a pack of Bodhi's Satsuma that will eventually get popped as well.....

Sounds good, I'll keep an eye on those. That Kosher Tangie sounds nice.

I think the Blood Orange is sold out most places I looked.

Also, does RIU still have the "respect" feature. I've been offline since fall of 2013, and things have changed a little over here but I'd like to give some respect to all those chiming in with their experiences.

Tangie as dutchhaze recommended. I got a local friend that is on his second pack and every single seed has produced orange-tangerine smell and flavor. Some have more of a orange peel, some are OG orange and some are italian spice orange but the keeper is sweet orange. The buzz off them has been more sativa, very nice overall.

Ive ran half a pack of kosher tangie and they smell like sweet oranges while growing but end up tasting more like the kosher so far.

Same guy that has the tangies has a tangilope finishing this week says its more melon then orange but smells wonderful.

Ya may not find what you are looking for as Amos said with Bodhi, but perhaps St0w got lucky.

Really the snow lotus cross will probably give you better odds.

You really can't go wrong with Bodhi when it comes to quality, even if you don't find what you are specifically looking for a particular trait.

Ah so you say. I'm not a taste chaser like you. Only strain that I felt was average in taste is Blueberry Hill, potency isn't the highest either but sometimes it's just what you are looking for.

Nah, I'm quite picky about quality and trying to pin down some orange. No grapefruit, lemon or lime. I want taste and potency and not concerned so much with a fast flower time. And I'm not a big fan of feminized beans. They work and are convenient but I don't like the whole idea of feminized genetics.

That is why I was looking at Bodhi since he has a good reputation round here.

The tangerine dream from barney's I've tasted and it was great tasting but had a mediocre high, not the worst but not that good either.

Some of the ones mentioned above sound good, like that kosher tangie and agent orange. Just the kosher is feminized and agent orange is from tga and I've read a lot of yah and nay, so conflicted but would probably give them a shot for that Agent orange.

I've also thought about KC brains for a split second and maybe if it was still 2003, but not now. Same thing with dutch passion, if this was ten years ago I would trust DP, but not anymore. Nirvana used to have a california orange but I don't think I'd go with that one either.

Any thoughts on GGG's orange juice? Is it worth the $100+ a pack.

I would like to have a production orange, but really just doing for my own personally taste so a larger yield is not the overall goal. Just quality smoke.
I had a pack of swiss miss from nirvana that a buddy and I did outside 6 years ago and it was pollenated by either itself or some random pollen but one of the few seeds I found in it ended up with a nice orange flavor. Had a small yield with high leaf to bud ratio (like growing a cabbage with small buds orange haired buds inside) and didn't grow fast and had no side growth to clone, but it had taste and potency. I would like to avoid something similar to this in regards to slow growing unclonable.

I'll keep researching and if anyone has some orange/tangie buds out there, don't be shy... show them bad buds off and let us fools know what's good.
