Aero cloning & humidity dome

Been wanting to build
an Aero cloner for sometime now. The ones I see in the hobby shop never seem to show a dome. So I'm curious if any of you use a humidity dome on your clone machines. Thanks for any input.

Correct me if I'm wrong but in an aero/bubble cloner you want the plants to transpire to force the uptake of moisture through the stem and to force root production. Using a humidity dome would stop transpiration, and possibly even shift moisture uptake to the leaves. I tried a diy aerocloner a couple years ago, with a dome and never got roots but plenty of rot, fairly confident the dome was the reason. In a standard tray the dome is needed because the plants get their moisture through the leaves until roots are formed.

In my world of 50% ambient rh------either I have to mist the cuttings several times or raise the rh to around 85-95 % with a dome or something else.

If I don't-------they wilt.

You mean DWC hydroponics, as AERO uses heated misters ..!
no need for a humidity dome on either as both are well watered!
