have 3 plants that are 6 weeks old and i wanna start putting them into the flowering stage. how should i begin to do this slowly for best results. i have been growing them in full 24h cycle. im using 2 cfls 26watt each and 2 3ft fluro tubes 32 watt each. tell me if i should immediately go into 12/12 or should i do 8/16 then go into 12/12? or anything else i should know before i do that? btw the clf and fluro tubes are all i got and im on a super cheap budget but willing to spend maybe a small amount if its gonna be worth it. lemme know what you recommend

just switch them and be done with it. don't slowly change anything. hammer down. sounds like your grow is small, just remember that depending on how small they are they may stretch quite a bit. the smaller they are at flip the more they will stretch. six inch plants can get to two feet when you change the light cycle. even more sometimes strain dependent. if you have some extra money a small hps light will give you much better results than your floor tubes and pig tails. just saying.

its all dependent on the size foot print you need to cover. a big space needs a big bulp or more. id guess your trying to cover about 4x4 so a 600 would be best for that. i have seen some killer grows with 400s though. if its just personal a 400 is fine and there isn't as much heat to vent than with a 6. thats your other bother, the heat. its probably not a lot more than your set up but it'll be warm and temp control in flower is important especially keeping it under 85. too hot will make the plant stretch. you'll need a carbon filter probably regardless in flower or the whole house will smell like dank so just run it through the light/hood/tube and you should be fine with adequate air exchange and fans.

your final product will be waaaaay better. that light is your power plant and they call them high intensity discharge bulbs for a reason. keep the other ones around for veg because they're cheaper to run and your internode spacing will be tighter.

sure, its probably just something easy. include the soil, food, how many times you've fed with what. a side pic works better to diagnose environmental issues, and side leaf pics are good too.

soil is half MG organic potting mix and MG organic garden soil. nutes are MG plant food. o gave them nute burn i assume had a fungus gnat problem due to over watering. and only used it once at 4 weeks at 1/2 strength and just used it again today at 6 weeks almost 7 weeks but at like 1/5 strength. also been using garden lime for soil balance. temp is at a 70*F and humidty is usually at 50%

well that depends on how they look. the picture in your avi is a yellow plant. that spells more food to me. also id ditch the mg everything if you can. fox farm ocean forest or happy frog for soil. and any real nutrient line besides mg. botanicare is nice and really easy to use.

thats pics of my 3 plants plus my 3 clones. like i said 2 of my plants got severely damaged by fungus gnats. the main one got some kind of nute burn but idk why it keeps dying i stoped with the nutes and honestly i think i did 1/10 strength with the nutes it was very light.

ok, now that i see the photos its a different story. looks like the mid sized ones are a little over watered. the droopy leaves show that. fungus gnats really are more of a nuisance than a plant killer. i see some light burn on them but thats about it for the mid sized ones. the big one though. are those t12s or t8s over top of it?

btw i haven't watered the 2 medium plants in like 4 days they were really dry. and i just watered the big one after like 5 days. was told i was over watering and i started to wait a few days. i figured because i dont have no perlite in my soil

it may not be enough light. and really i don't want to tell you to feed it more just incase you did burn it already but it looks pale. i also have no hands on with any miracle grow products, and only 1/10th strength shouldn't do that you'd think. a burn is usually from full strength too young. personally id feed it a little and see if things improve. she's in a rough spot for sure though.

oh ok, dry plants look a lot like over watered plants, droopy, and its usually over watering with new guys lol. ya, pearlite will help, but also just watering less. i don't soak my small plants all the way. i just give them a cup or two until a splash comes out the bottom. i would read up on that soil and find out when you should start feeding them. maybe call them and ask, say you have tomatoes growing or some shit but if the oldest one is yellow it could be lack of food since the younger ones are still green.
