This is my first grow and i was wondering if I could use little fish pebbles instead of hydro clay? so i can help my soil medium to not be disturbed order to create greater or better root development...
I started out mixin hydrtron in with my peat but later switched to unscented clay kitty litter as it was the same thing only WAY cheaper (25 lbs for $3 at wally world) I never understood usin perlite as it offers nothing for the plant while calcined clay slow releases sulfur and retains a tad of moisture
the picture that I showed you was me just transporting them what does root rot look like the roots looked awfully white once I transported them into the soillooks over watered with the start of root rot
And that he is exactly what I'm trying to do hold in moisture keep my humidity up as well as soil moistPearlite helps to aerate the soil, but the rocks also hold moisture at the same time. Seems odd, but its truein fact, people use a bed of pure pearlite when they do the shotgun fruiting chamber while growing mushrooms. the water will coat the rocks and hold, while the rocks themselves create space between the soil to keep pockets of air available for the roots.
Lol that is light brun, i woke up late to move light upView attachment 3328953 leaves tell story start of root rot over watered water just setting in pot pot to big for that small plant
Yes it is... but they wher in little solo cupslooks good is that the one in pic i posted and circled put back in a smaller pot tho water real lightly give it time to drink before watering go by weight of pot
Cool looks just like start of root rot ( had many times )Lol that is light brun, i woke up late to move light up
.........uhhhhhonce I transported them into the soil
Your terminology represents your total research lmfao. "Transported".......... you mean "transplanted?" They don't mean the same thing.Start over, sorry , but that plant is doomed. Read more about soil, additives, different methods, etc. Get a good book,(Marijuana Horticulture by Jorge Cervantes), chill out and read it (don't smoke or you will forget it all) Seriously, get another seed, start it again, properly in the right medium, and it will blow that 3/4 dead plant away. Keep it up, and you are in the right place for help. Peace
Hydroton is not like kitty litter at all. Perlite aids drainage, it's not there to feed your plant.I started out mixin hydrtron in with my peat but later switched to unscented clay kitty litter as it was the same thing only WAY cheaper (25 lbs for $3 at wally world) I never understood usin perlite as it offers nothing for the plant while calcined clay slow releases sulfur and retains a tad of moisture
Must have been a school teacher eh..?.........uhhhhh
