I would assume that the more official the letter sounds, the less responses you get.
If you just want to know what strains they have, etc I would send the letter as a "patient" inquiring as if you wanted to sign up.

Vianarchris, has already sent me a rough copy of the letter we may use and yes oddish we are indeed going the "patient" route. Just waiting to hear back from Vianachris and if he okay's it I'll post the letter here first to see what you all think. It looks good to me but admittedly I'm not overly a good judge of these things, hence the reason why getting someone else to write it.
