White furry seedling stems - is this normal???

My partner and I live in Australia, and have recently started trying to grow and we have a bunch that have germinated (we are using easy jiffy and a mini green house) that we have planted and a few of them have shot up with a green top whilst we have a few little white furry ones. Is that normal or diseased and should we remove them? Much love!

That's so odd.

somebody else should also comment as I cannot be sure , but it appears that somehow its germinated upside down.

that's your root. I think hahah

must be nice and humid in there to do that.

Its white mold, hit it with peroxide and water (2 capefulls of peroxide the rest water in spray bottle) wont hurt your plant. I get this in my clone box sometimes, I keep the spray bottle near by

Does peroxide come in different strengths? Its definitely nice and humid in our bathroom - been hit with rain for like the last week so bloody stinking hot!

Thats not a good sighn its called damphening off, it happens to seedlings but it hast to do with too much moisture its probly gonna die make sure that the root isnt exposed to light the other one looks good try to cover the root or rockwool with something dark.

So no light or sunlight?? At the moment we are keeping it in a cupboard in our bathroom so yay or nay? I've looked at peroxide and it comes in different strengths from 5% to 40% - am I looking at a wrong type of peroxide? These are for bleaching hair..

Okay sweet as, thank you :) What distance should we have the light away from our babies? We recently bought a fluorescent light I think (think being the keyword here) is that alright? It's low voltage me think like 30w

Get light but not to the rockwool and not the root. And please dontput it in a cupboard in the bathroom these plants need to be in a steril enviroment specially since there babies.

there rotting inbox me man if u need some advice im a aussie myself and i have few in's and outs around australia working in a hydro store we tend to be in contact with a few hydro stores thru out the states so inbox can prob get u some cheap items chems lights so on

its happened to me too, so gently slip it out
invert it and gently tap it down
...from an Auzzie too (wink)
ps then water again​

Hahah deadset?! Oops.. So no white mold or disease of the type? Seeing that you blokes are aussies, if we run into a wall can we hit you up with a few questions please?

I honestly think it looks upside down. like your seed germinated ( sprouted ) and the root went skyways .and the shoots gone underground. sorry for the rough explination
