Help! Potency Sux!

Serious advice needed.
5 Gal DWC, PH 5.9, PPM 650-700. Advanced Nutrient PH Perfect. CaliMagic when needed. . Temps avg 65-69 degrees in rez and 65-72 degrees in room. Avg Veg time 6-8 weeks from clone. Floralicious and Liquid KB in flower. 2 strains. Nirvana Blackberry Kush and White Widow. Sweet spot a 5.9 PH. Nice size buds and adequate yields. White Widow very frosty by naked eye. Blackberry full of red/brown hairs. Harvest between days 67-72 of Flower from flip. HPS 600w. Average cure at 60% humidity jarred for 30 days. Smell and taste on point. Potency is just not there! ready to throw in the towel. What could be wrong? Please help!

Nirvana's genes are pretty good, ime. Is your non-potent sample full dry? If there are trichomes everywhere, then I really don't see why it wouldn't get you medicated. (?)

Dried til stems snap but not break. Cured in jars and burped until steady at 60% humidity. Should I go to %50 maybe? 35 + days and effect is still mediocre.

I've grown Nirvana's White Widow a few years back. I remember the potency was quite strong, so no complaints here. Man, bummer on the Low-potency bro. You may want to cook with this bud, or try to make hash. That's what i would do anyway. Peace, and good luck

calmag when needed? i run calmag all the time. and my dwc goes up to 1200 ppm. thats almost double what your max was. you need more fertilizer in that water if i were to guess. weeks 2-6 in flower should be when your hitting it the hardest imo.

i maxed out at 1200 ppm and didn't hurt anything. raise it slowly as the plant grows. they will be monsters and knock your dick in the dirt if your only an occasional smoker.

I have 1 word for you GENETICS
I had a cut of blackberry that even if you grew perfect it sucked ass.
I now have a GSC cut that you can just throw in the room and half-ass it and it will always come out fire.

I would be inclined to think it's a genetic issue. It's possible that not all of Nirvana's strains are good. The strains I grew turned out killer (cali orange, white widow). It just doesn't make sense that your cured, frosty bud would not get you high- (especially when you smoke only occasionally). Anyone else care to speculate on this?

When I grew my first batch a while ago I bought seeds from the cheapest online place I can find. Marijuanaseeds.nl or something like that. I grew them and they were really frosty till the last stretch and then it went away. It may have been my high temps or my mistake in growing in just peat moss like an idiot where the PH went crazy low but some of them got pollinated and it lost potency.

Genetics..raise the ppm on schwag Mexican dirt weed seeds,you'll have nute burned schwag Mexican dirt weed seeds..
Your seeds were right genetically in every aspect except potency...bust out a few packs of each strain,grow out all of the beans,choose your winner...
You hit the lottery,but only 3 out of 5 numbers...keep playing for jackpot.

Thanks BudTips - I'm thinking it has to be genetics. I've hit the sweet spot on all other levels except potency! Any recommendations for new strain? I'm hearing a lot about blue dream but would prefer and indica dominant 60 day flowering phenol...

One other point to consider is there was some foxtailing! Will foxtailing lower your potency?

all depends on the kind of fox tailing. if its natural then no. if its heat induced late flowering fox tailing that shoots out branches out of the bud that have like one calyx on the end of it then yes. i hate to say it but low potency with two strains screams you did something wrong. try raising the ppm to more than 600. if you had 100-150 ppm of calmag then you'd have 450-500 ppm of food. thats not enough. not enough.one more time? ok...not....en...

Check out Sativied's grows. He was running 380 ppms and dropped down to 350 ppm because it was too much. More ppms doesn't equal more bud/potency.

* ppms don't make resinated weed non-potent. Genetics or harvesting early will though.
