Sweet I'll add to this listYeah try for the gorilla grow heavy duty tent, not only do they hold more weight and have the best exterior shell but they also have some bad ass height extension that allows them to get tall as heck.
Don't buy anything but a gorilla, its the only way to flyWhat kind of tent do you have skunky? I need a sturdy 4x4 tent to hold about 90 lbs of led and fan/filter. Suggestions from all is helpful. Cant really afford a gorilla.
GorillaHmm Id recommend not to hang your filter and fan from the tent then..plus perhaps use a separate stand for the panels to hang from..would be a real shame to get a bend on the tent poles..or even worse a snap! That's definitely one of the negatives of these new LEDs ..some are ridiculously heavy. I'd be very very hesitant to hang anything like that much weight from a tent even if they are supposed to be safe. I'd have a tough time with sleeping or going out knowing that a couple little poles was the only thing stopping a fire.
Wait till you see how frosty this thing is going to get in the next 4 weeks this strain just goes overboard. In the coco/perlite mix you can feed these plants so often I'm hitting them everyday with a full nutrient regiment and flushing once a week with PH'd R/O water + Calimagic love this schedule. You must be part blood-hound Yoda..
Just some cheap lighthouse hydro 4x4 tent I bought off Amazon. What kind of tent do you have skunky? I need a sturdy 4x4 tent to hold about 90 lbs of led and fan/filter. Suggestions from all is helpful. Cant really afford a gorilla.
For the price in my opinion they are the best tents, the only other solid option is gorilla grow tents and they are insanely expensive. In response to the comment above (@gk_skunky), I have a 'poorly-crafted' lighthouse hydro tent (bought it from gotham) and it holds up.
The only problem I NOW see is that with the deduction of my BlackStar and the introduction of six Vero 18's, light can be seen to escape through the little zipper holes. Not just a few... but like ALL. Thankfully they included velcro-laced padding to cover over it but damn is that light bright!
I digress...
yea all the tents are stupidly expensive really. Have you seen a gorilla tent in person? Considered getting one to upgrade from a secret jardin..just soo much moneyFor the price in my opinion they are the best tents, the only other solid option is gorilla grow tents and they are insanely expensive.
Never seen one in person, I would like one if I could afford it.yea all the tents are stupidly expensive really. Have you seen a gorilla tent in person? Considered getting one to upgrade from a secret jardin..just soo much money
yea I'm considering it. Just so much more than a SJ the same size. Hard to justify the extra $. Gorilla is 1.5x the price of pretty much same spec SJ. Plus I've heard people complain about Gorilla's build quality not being up to the level it ought to be.
How's your lemon smelling girl coming along?^
That's exactly why I want a gorilla, that sounds really sturdy and strong like I could hang a lot in it and not feel that its going to fall. I might save up and replace my tent with one but for now im going to get the most I can out of these crappy tents. The build quality of gorilla tents suffered briefly when they expanded their supply chain and had to dial in quality assurance at a new facility where the tents were being manufactured. At least that's the rumor I heard
As far as I know that's been taken care of.
My gorilla tent is superb. I spent a couple hundred extra to ensure I was receiving a quality product. No light leaks whatsoever, and it'll hold at least 200lbs more than I'll ever need to hang. It was missing a piece when I opened the box and the customer service rep had a new part for me within days.
Also, the material is so thick its more like a canvas than a fabric.
I don't regret my purchase at all, and I feel bad for others when I see their flimsy tents...
