I'd say you've got at least another month to go. Get those lights closer! More light = more compact buds. Also I'd trim all of those fan leaves and tiny growth off. It's wasted energy.

Do you know what strain that is?

I thought fan leaves where for nutrient storage. Im not trying to argue, i'd love to trim my fan leaves. Do you have anything that backs that up?

yea what strain is that? kinda looks like a sativa dominant..

Hmmm, interesting point. In DWC, backup nutes in fan leaves is kinda a moot point, as long as you maintain the nutes in the resevoir. In soil, maybe it would be better to leave them on.

I trim to get more light to the buds, but mine are tall.

Well i have very bushy compact plants...(patting self on back) drip/dwc.. Trimming would definately get the middle of the plant more light.

I do understand ur point.. Makes alot of sense... I just dont want anything to go south on me.. Im gonna do a lil research then im may take ur advice...

lol thax loose, i got them out of my CC and high times mags. figured the walls needed a bit of something on them. and idk what strain it is, its just bagseeds that ive collected for a couple weeks, all of which the buds got me high or stoned, so shit why not use them. Idk the difference between a sativa or a indica dominate plant, but im sure w/e it is will be good, and i have actually thought about trimmin some lower leaves, but i was told not to trim when flowering, idk if thats true or not, but im not gonna start now. I got a few lower buds tho, not many, but i added some cfls the other day to help the lower part of the plant. so hopefully that will help out a bit. im just ready for harvest, and im thinkin it will be another month before i can harvest, we'll just have to see what comes out of it.

so u think it would be ok to trim now? most people have a harvest after a month, and mine will probably take two so...2weeks would be like one month lol

Most indoor plants take 8 weeks to fully flower, your on schedule. Definitely trim now, take all of the lower branches right off near the main stem, try to grow JUST the main cola and a couple of the larger secondary branches. This will force the plant to put all of its energy into making 1 huge bud, trust me it works.

what do you guys mean take the lower branches off? like the lower ones that dont really have much? cuz they all seem to have buds on every stem i have on the bottom, if you are talkin about fan leaves, i can trim a few of those, but do i cut the leaves off or the whole stem and leaf??? thx for the help guys

The whole branch, little buds and all. the lower branches don't get the light they need and are like loose hairs once dried, no substance. Get a nice clean pair of scissor or a sharp knife and cut off the lower branches, bud sites and all.
