Okay so I have a sativa plant which is almost ready to harvest
I have been growing it since 6 months now on my terrace
I live in an apartment building ( like lot of flats)
With a common terrace ..I have a fake key to it so no one knows im up there
Recently, i found out that my gatekeeper has somehow got to know about my plant ...he moved it to show he knows about it
Here is the big fuckup.
I got Paranoid and tied the plant and dropped it down to the 9th floor roof and tied the rope on a pillar
Next day I find that the rope has been moved too!
The rope has become loose from the pot and I cannot risk picking the plant up from it as it can slip off the smallroof right down to the gate
I have decided to lasso the stem and pick my plant up
My question is :
Will the stem hold the pot while I lasso and pick up the plant from the stem or the plant will uproot dropping the pot below..I've uploaded a picture as an Example only

are you asking if the stem of the plant can take the weight of a pot of soil if you pick the plant up by the stem ?

there are many factors here
if the soil is wet it will be heavy, if you let it dry first it will be light
if the stem is quite thick and its done a fair bit of rooting, im sure it would support the weight of dry soil
if the stem is thin it might snap/bend

after seeing this pic, i would not try to lasso that myself
the plant does not look very big compared to the pot of soil it will need to support when lassoing lol

is there anyway you can grab it by the pot first to avoid damaging the branches

What if I lasso the stem and take a stick with a blade on one end and hack it
Leaving the pot there and bringing up just the plant??

use a big fishing lure and some thick line and hook the rim of the bucket. I wouldn't grab it by the stem.

An extending pole pruner may be your best friend. With the plant size it may just pull the roots out too if you just lasso. The concern is you may just strip all the bud off the plants if it doesn't work.

I don't think its ready to harvest yet by the picture. If you feel like your caught by your gatekeeper then cut the thing down or bring it inside and put it in a closet with a couple of lights.

How do you know that if you lasso that bitch, as you're pulling her up, she won't slip and drop 9 floors? Make sure there's no one below or you might be facing a manslaughter charge!

If I were you, I'd just leave her there and not go anywhere near her again. Someone clearly knows about the plant who shouldn't and they prob' don't need to be a genius to work out who you might be too. Fuck it! She doesn't look like she's worth that type of risk IMHO. Find a better place to grow than the common areas of your apartment building or you run the risk of someone calling the cops (and you'd kinda deserve it)!

keep in mind the risk reward involved. That plant isn't exactly a prize so don't get yourself busted over it.

This picture is about a month old now
I am certain I will get good bud off here
I live in india ...a $20 tip will make my gatekeeper help me ..so thats not a prob
I have been smoking here since 12 years now im pretty sure cops wont get involved in this shit ...a 100$ tip will make them help me too so getting busted is not the matter ...

simple. tie a rope off and shimmy down to the plant. then just climb back up. easy as cake

Up 9+ floors I would pass on that, maybe a roll down ladder. If you get/make a roll down ladder and give the gate guy $20 maybe that spot could be your grow area. (or grow a plant for him then he won't ask for more money later)

idk about anyone else, but i'm really surprised the op had no luck finding info on the internet about how to go about lassoing a pot plant from 9 floors up.. :d
