Which light should I start with?

Hey everyone Happy New Year. I am about to start a waterfarm scrog. I was wanting to know whats your opinion on what light should I start with. I will be using a 250 watt light inside a 36x20x63 tent. So should I start with that size light or should I use a 2ft x 4bulb T5 to start with. I will be growing from seed.

Is the 250 HPS? If so, a 6500K T5 would be better for seedling and veg.

ok thank you. The 250 watt light will have mh/hps bulbs.

Use the MH and save the cost of the T5 fixture. Change to HPS when you flower. A 250w isn't going to have much penetration, I suggest you SCROG.

yes I plan on a scrog grow. I will be growing in a 36x20x63 tent and I will be using a waterfarm system.

I agree with red. forget the T5's if you want you can start off your seedling with those cheap CFL bulbs 6500K 23-46 watt or whatever and then start vegging with the 250w metal halide

If you have a 250w MH/HPS, use the MH right from seed germination. I think what Red meant was skip the T5s *AND* any other intermediary (CFL).

If you only have one space to grow a full run, just use the MH until you're happy with your plants in veg, then turn it over to HPS.
