newbie needs help!!!!

ok so its my first time growing and my friend and i have 5 plants. with three being about 5 and a half feet tall and the others closely catching up. we are growing outside in the woods and we live in new york so its 40 degree latitude. we started growing in the first week of june and we have no clue when they will start to bud or if they are males or what. please help. when will i distinguish the sex and when will they start budding? it has been about 8 weeks and we water them daily and they get a good amount of light.

SHould be in a week or two...August you will start to see preflowers and be able to distinguish sex...Good luck!

I would guess up there in the NY hills you'll be seeing signs 2-3 weeks into August, assuming night temps drop. It's just a guess, based on old age (mine)

ill put up pics if you want man. they come up to my nose and i am 5 foot 7. haha all i do is water them everyday and i put miracle grow in it once. gotta love that new york sun!

So your eyes and forehead are only an inch total? Actually, I don't think 5+ feet in 2 months is all that huge, and quite possible. I know I've done close to that, if not greater?

I think its more than possible my clones are about 60 days old and theyre 4' and they have only been in the ground for 2 weeks if I would have put em in the ground a couple weeks earlier I bet they would be 5' +.
