A+B, rhizo, ZYM, atami bloombastic, ph down and some form of powdered mychos. if you buy all of that you should not need anything else to have multiple successful cycles before you need to go the hydro store again.
with the coco i like to let the pots dry out as much as possible between waterings, this can mean going up to a week without watering early on, letting the roots search for water makes them set up a good structure faster than keeping it wet. once they have fully established themselves you should be looking to water as little as possible, but as often as possible, almost like a constant trickle of nutrients with very little run off. you can do a slightly diluted "flush" every so often where there is plenty of run off but if you are feeding correctly the plants are taking on nearly all of the salts that can build up causing problems.
never give them plain water though if you can help it. the number one mistake i see in coco is people giving plain water, it's like the plant just shuts down, the ph can go out of whack and sometimes the damage is done very quickly and is almost irreversible. feed with a+b every watering until you are ready to chop, you can then flush with enzymes for 1 -2 applications then harvest ensuring a slight fade and clean finished product.
for your clones i would get some 1 or 2 gal pots depending on how many roots you let them get in the cloner and what size you want to eventually end up in. if you have your heart set on 5 gal pots you should be looking to veg from clone for at least 30 days to fully fill that pot out with roots.
how big is your grow space? if you want to stay legal but have big harvests i would say go with 10 gal pots and veg for 50 days, you can still get 3 harvests a year this way with most strains. i think you could get away with some big plants under the 1000w light. maybe roll out some kind of perpetual even, splitting your room in two with the 600 for mothers, veg and cuttings and the 1000w for flower, harvesting every two weeks or so, now that would kick ass!.
ah the possibilities.
I am really baked so hopefully you can follow this...
I didn't know you don't water straight water to coco so good thing I asked lmao. My grow space is a large bedroom...prob 12x14 sized room. I only have it 1/2 full with my 1600 watts, and my lights probably could be even closer together. They are currently covering about a 5x10 area right now for flower. a 1000 watter, and a 600 watter in a XXL magnum hood. I am planning on using this current harvest to upgrade the 600 to a 1000 watt ballast and pay for the coco and the nute lineup. I started 26 plants this cycle, but have culled down to 20 plants. 6 in 5 gallons, the rest in 3 gallons and it was waaaay to many and they were vegged different lengths so the canopy is all caddywhompas.
I need to get rid of everything...my pots, all the soil, anything that could possibly harbor root aphids. My general plan is...
Step 1) Begin getting rid of all extra materials, compost, excess soil that is now harboring root aphids
Step 2) Finish flower cycle. After chopping, immediately toss out all pots, and soil
Step 3) Spray mothers with pytherin, then Cut 2 clones per strain off my mothers place clones in aero cloner Dispose of mothers, and their soil/pots
Step 4) clean/bleach/Bug bomb entire apartment
Step 5) Clones now rooted, treat again with pyrtherin and imidichlyorid
Step 6) Buy Coco, transplant clones in and start veg cycle
Step 7) Pray to every god that will listen that I don't still have root aphids
My main strains I run are from hemlock...Dream lotus x sensi star, caseyband x qleaner x sensi star, and caseyband x white rhino x black sour bubble. I would be hard pressed to find similar quality genetics in my current budget so I am gambling on trying to keep clones off them. The mothers have been treated with pytherin / imidichlyorid. the imidichlyorid is a systemic chemical, should be in the plant and all new tissues for 2 months, so heres hoping!
