Im not a believer in flushing, however if you are worried about salt buid up in medium, use root pouch's or the like, pro mix w/perlite+, & let about 20% run off every watering, shouldn't get build up, so you should not feel the need to flush.
Then you can rotate new cut's in anytime, JMHO..

EDIT: flood to waste

you can use a few different types, grow bags(panda),plastic pots with mesh bottoms plastic pots with the bigger cut outs on the bottom edge. all the plastic pot can be had round or square, and all of them(pandas included) come in different sizes. so it depends on how tight you want to pack them. you can always look into the grow mats, but they can be a little pricey.
if your the crafty type you could make a lid for your tray and use net pots.

its going to be perpetual diifferent harvest time on the same table once the roots grow out of pot they will get braided up with the other plants .@seedho if i got 1 gallon grow bags and filled up with hydroton do you think i can veg for 20-30 day and put them in flower will my roots have enough space to do there thing

20-30 days and keeping your roots tangle free would be very hard to do, why are you going to veg that long?............bags you`ll have some root growth come thru the bags mainly around the bottom, but not 2 bad....
i`am not sure of what your tiring to accomplish, what is the plan of attack. if i were tiring to do a perpetual harvest i would be rolling the trays in at different times, so there would be times your going to have all 3 trays in flower at the same time.

You don't do a perpetual in tables like that. Use the two 3 x 3's and offset them by 4 - 5 weeks depending on your strain. You can throw in the third tray and harvest every 3 weeks or so.

After the first harvest you won't need a perpetual harvest every week system.

If I understand you correctly you want to move the plants at the end, out of the tray as they finish to flush in a different system. Rock wool cubes air prune themselves I believe, so they could be moved. I wonder if you could somehow divide the tray into separate sections as needed, not sure how though lol.

Another good reason to offset the trays is that you'll probably want to give them slightly different nutrient levels and types as they progress through flowering.

This is what I'm running and I'm using 5" net pots for veg that I just plop into 9" square net pots for flower. The 9" square net pots are a little more than 1.5 gallons.

Im working on a rail setup where the whole upper half can be removed, pots and all and moved to another room or res using 4" slimduct. This would leave srayer and drains in place.

waterdawg you can do individual pots in hydro, look at hempy style for one its simple and very productive. there are others as well.....

Yes I know there are lots of systems that use individual pots but it was the hand watering thing I was mainly talking about.

guys im trying to insure when i lollipop the gurls they will have a huge top cola over ten gram with 4 plants in a sq ft thats why i wanted to veg so long i know when plant get that age they get branchy but i will cut off any side branching up to two weeks flower in use for clones to keep the table going perpetual . i have leds for veg .2'600 and a 1000 with a big kuhuna for flower im in love with my ebb n flow bucket system so i wanted to throw the 1000 over my 4x4 table and continue my bucket system on the side .

Until I have the resources to get another table and the equipment to run it my set up works really good.

Flood and drain, 40 gallon reservoir
Constant ppm of 350 ppm from clone to harvest. Never changing reservoir, only target top off.

4x4 table = 16 sq ft = up to 64 plants
1 gallon root pouchs, coco/growstones gs-2
8 clones go in at the back of the table, more clones put into aero cloner
Two weeks later repeat, 8 clones go in, previous clone move forward.
Repeat until 12 week harvest (my sog strain takes her time)
Finish up with 48-56 plants depending on what trics I want.

I get an oz per plant = 8 oz every two weeks.

Changing nutes and npk only messes me up. I like the low and slow method of an established reservoir.
No flush, no fuss.

Keeping it simple ....nice.....Moonshiner I assume you are using a 1000 watter and what strain(s) are you using in your perpetual setup?

At the moment yes its a 1000. They can be adjusted 400-600-1000, which I use in parts of summer. 1000 now that its winter.

My strain is right off of BC Bud Depot website called "Kalashnikov 47" from there limited edition seed selection.

Some think they are "rip offs" but every order comes with codes for free seeds and I like their selection.

I'll try to find my camera cord and upload a picture, don't hold your breath though, its been missing for a little while now lol.
