These lights ok for flowering?

Can anyone tell me if these lights will be ok to start flowering with? I dont want to hear people saying yes but they will suck ect... Just a yes or no? They both are 20watts 40watt for both. 1250lm, 65Lm/w warm whites... Im unsure what the numbers mean so i put them there for more info if you need it. And if its ok to start to bud my plant? It is small for 5 weeks as it had a rough start, coming right now... Or do you guys think i shoul let it veg for longer? If so how long? Il post a picture if the Veg lights im using atm later tonight.

Also i have trimmed off the first set of fan leafs.. So its growing its 3rd set of leafs now IMG_20141120_221607.jpgIMG_20141120_221607.jpg

You can grow with any light but what is it worth to you?

Me and my lady smoke a zip every 2 weeks (or less) so I need to get at least enough for that

my first grow was with t8 then t5and cfl then with led and now hid

its all about what you want

but im not spending 3months waiting for a lil bit lol

cfls will grow your budd but if you want a decent amount of smoke
with little energy or heat

I suggest getting an 8 bulb t5 system
if your handy you can put together one pretty cheap from home depot or Lowes

with an 8 bulb t5 system I. My hands I could get around a half pound:) but still wanted more lol

Well im not after much. It would be nice to get a ounce but i think im pushing it there. If i left it in veg for another week, then switched to 12/12, would i possible get quater - half an oz? I live in new zealand so im not sure if the kit is called a "t5" but il look into it

does anyone know what the light fixtures where you have multiple light bulbs on one socket thing are called? Like a strip with say 3, 6 or 9 sockets i can put light bulbs on to make things easier? are there such things?

Sorry bro sometimes I forget thers not a big box store every where lol

I cant say how much you could grow with the bulbs you listed but im almost sure you could get the amount you want:)

also t5 refers to a type of florescent bulbs the long ones like 4 ft or around 1 m?

The only problem I have with cfls are the way the bulb is shaped the best way

is to almost train the plant to grow around the bulb so it uses all the light it produces

but that takes time and effort
which I dont mind the latter but I dont have enough time as I work and got kiddos

if it were me id use what you got in a small built box or just something to relect the light

and get some of the long bulb florescent when you can I preferthem becuase although they may not be as intense or powerful

the linear design of the bulb makes it easier to get a better yeild in my opinion

My local grow store used to make them for people pretty easy with metal conduit

but im unsure if they sell a specific fixture that would work they way you like

but if you can type then you can "wire" up your own pretty easily

To be honest you can induce flowering at any time but

in my opinion its way too young
best thing to do is to grow it and top or train it to grow however will let it get the Best light

then take some cuttings (unless you have access to a bunch of seeds)
this way your plant will be big enough to get your desired amount and

the cuttings you take will be the same age as the main plant
YOU CAN FLOWER THESE SHORT and you will get more then if you flower your seedling




as the the light question
I would not try that

it looks like a halogen work light bulb and those get VERY hot

240 v is a good thing if you ever buy a larger indoor grow light :)

Plus unless its a femminized seed or from a self seeded plant aka. "Bagseed" then it could be a male plant anyway

If it's $$$$$ that's an issue, try a set of four T5's that are 2' about $100. USD. Your CFL's will work but the yield will suffer. I had a set of T5's like described but only got 4 oz wet - 1/2 oz dry. I added 2 more T5's for this grow - more light is more bud. 3 months of work calls for as much light as the girls will take. I want her to stretch just a bit more and get a little taller before i start trying to make her wide or get yeild. This should be ok ? After two weeks, or how ever long it takes to fully develop another 4 sets of fan leafs then i will top, then leave on 18/6 for another week or so then start the 12/12 shcedule? good idea or no?

bud, get yourself down to one of the switched on gardners, you in auckland? if so the one on central park drive rocks
get a hps light

Check out the info on a 13/11 light schedule, more dark than light. You may be interested in using it. Google or You Tube......
