Very worried, plumber on his way!

Hey everyone. I'm pretty much shitting it here. I'm in the UK (rented house) and have a tent with 6 very young girls growing in my spare room.

I had my annual gas inspection last week where the gas man checked my boiler and cooker, all coool. But since then my boiler has been playing up and leaking a little from a filter. The plumber is coming out soon to fix it, i just fucking hoping he doesn't need access to my 'spare' room to check the radiator in there.

Hoping this makes sense, any advice is welcome. Thanks

If your house is heated by your boiler, he may need to drain the lines. That's the only reason he would need in that room.

Worst case situation is taking the plants out and puting em into a van. I used to be like you and worry every time some shit like this happened. Got fed up with it n now just lock on the door and its my brothers room who's at work. Lock on the door cause my mum bursts in while his gf stays.then crack a sex joke which hell either laugh at or feel awkward lol. Honestly you'll be fine and most trades people aren't saints.

I had to have my house inspected and blower door tested today (post energy upgrade assessment) - the dude needed to go in every room of my house to look at my work.

I shut off everything, fabreezed the fuck out of the room & locked the door for 2 hours. When it came time to get the numbers off the window in that room I darted in and got the sticker myself - told him my pup didn't like strangers & he's in that room (which was obvious from the thundering bark that occasionally emanate from behind the door).
Monster dog does more than just dropping nitrogen bombs in the back yard. :-)

Back up and running now with zero issues or concerns.

I just remembered a trick from a General Contractor I worked for. You "drop" some money in the area being inspected. When the inspector is there, you go, "Hey I think you dropped that". Ha ha ha. Also carry a pipe wrench in your back pocket in case he becomes wise

I don't know if you are still worried, but if there is no water leaking from any radiators, there is no reason for him to go in the house. He can shut off any zone he needs. Playing with radiators that don't leak is playing with fire. Plumbers know better than to give themselves an unneeded headache by even touching them, fear they break a bleeder off or something. But if you have a way to access through a crawlspace door or service door, by all means open it up and point him in that direction.

What is the punishment for growing in the uk. I always thought it was layed back as far as marijuana.

9 plants or under is generally a caution.

It isn't laid back that's for sure. (Speaking from experience)

A "caution" goes on your record.

Over 9 plants and you risk being charged and going to court with possible jail time.

In some states in the US, growing 9 plants with intent to distribute is 25 years in jail.

Not sure how bad something going on your record is...

But here in the US, at least in some states, that's considered a traffic ticket, lol.

Lol.

In the UK a caution can fuck up your job prospects for certain work.

My line of work especially. However my employer stood by me when the shit hit the fan. (Long service record with no time off ill etc)

I'd still rather lose a job than spend 25 years in a 6x9 cage with someone that murdered his neighbor because his music was too loud...

The laws for growing a plant in the US are crazy...

The us is big. Not all states are like that. In my state you can grow 6 plants without a permit and carry up to 2 ounces.

Its only a leak most prob from the magnet which is used to keep the pipes clean, I guareentee he will just tighten it up or have to replace the seal.
He will avoid the drain down as it takes at least 25 mins, and if he does as previously said just don't allow access to the room tell him you will BLEED THE RAD YOURSELF AND REPRESSARISE THE BOILER.

This will sound like you know exactly what you are on about.

Basically you don't want air in your rads, as air doesn't get warm its water that does so by bleeding your rad it takes the air out and puts water in, but when you take water out it takes the pressure out of the boiler,,,,that's the little gauge that says 1.2 bar. So once all air is out of the rad the pressure will drop, you then just turn a knob on the filling loop to repressurice the boiler back up.

Now it sounds like you no what you are talking about he will just show u what to do and leave your house in confidence that you will do it,,,,,,,job done blaze one up
