If your 400w HPS is putting off 50,000 lumens, your plants are already getting 10,000 per plant anyways (5 plants), given that your light is in the optimum range.
Do you really need those CFLs? And if you really want to use them, do you really need 400w up top?
I know we all want to give our plants the best light possible... but there is such a thing as too much. Especially if you are causing heat issues.
#1 - LEDs produce more heat than you are led to believe. You will find that just swapping over won't instantly solve your problems. Heat is created in the transition from electricity to light, it can not be avoided.ok thanks allot for the input. i will work on heat. LED will certainly take care of the heat but if still hot i will take out the CFL's
would i be better off with adding a 90w Red LED with my new 450watt G8LED
awesome ill take a look at that. And don't forget you don't have to worry about having a light tight tent for autos. So unzip the door for heat issues. Check out Sherman420 and his NL auto that he flowered under straight CFL. Outstanding yield on one plant. She's a stunner.
take my advice on this one bro please dont order any more anything. learn to grow with what you have if the temps are getting hot try raising your light and throwing a fan in the room and your plant looks droopy due to over watering let them dry out a bit then water them. and as for LST and training i would leave them alone auto's dont respond the best to trainingHaving major heat issues. Ordered a 450watt G8LED tonight going to switch out hps with that. Should I keep my cfls in there at the bottom as side lighting??

Left two plants inn the group of 5 are the ones not looking to great. Deff sick. I took a pic of my current inside of tent with filter top right, intake down left front side LED hanging center and cfls still on for now n on 3 corners trying not to block LED at all.Pics!
I am sure that they will shoot back in no time now that the temps are lower. They will probably drink a lot less water too, so be sure to check the soil before watering for a few days. They might not dry out as fast as you are used to anymore.
Funny your say that bc after I posted that I walked down n said to my wife, I should have taken them 4 hours ago when they looked worse. I said I truly think they look better already but maybe I'm crazy n she laughed.... So yea I guess they aren't terrible. But check out the left two, very saggy. But soooooooo thick n bushy throughout. So..... I'm glad you think they'll b good to go soon. They look fine, nothing they won't recover from.
Just take it really easy on them the next few days and let them acclimate. They look better than you make it sound like
