"40kg Of Cocaine Found On Mitch McConnell’s Father-In-Law’s Boat"

James Chao, father of Mitch McConnell’s wife Elaine, has a lot of questions to answer after 40 kilograms of cocaine (about $6.7 million worth) was found on the Ping May, a ship owned by the Foremost Group, a company James Chao founded and led to a tidy fortune. But was that fortune built on honest movement of legitimate bulk trade goods, or has Mr. Chao been trading in less than legal goods?
The cocaine, found in 40 separate packages, was discovered during a routine inspection hidden among a load of coal bound for Europe from the port of Santa Marta, Columbia onboard the Ping May, one of 15 ships Foremost currently operates, with another 8 under construction. The final destination for the ship was to be the Netherlands, likely one of the port cities surrounding Amsterdam. It is known that the Ping May has been witnessed at the port of Zaanstad, one of these cities, in the past.

Foremost Group is the source of most of Senator McConnell’s fortune through gifts and inheritance from his in-laws. It is a shadowy corporation, utilizing a complex scheme of shell companies to skip out on millions in taxes annually.

Title should be " 40kg of cocaine found on a boat" Since the boat has no relation to Mitch McConnell or anyone else. The boat is owned by a corporation, Mr Chao was not on the boat nor is he under suspicion. Mcconnel is absolutely not under any suspicion because in no way could this be traced to him.

The corporation pays its taxes to the fullest extent of the law, otherwise there would be indictments. There is no "Special " scheme the author refers to, they just call it that to imply illegality.

This C&P is a puff piece, no facts, no journalism to see here, only sensationalism and pure speculation. The Enquirer's Bat Boy has more credibility.

I was starting to warm up to you, Sky.

This article is ridiculous when it tries to tie Chao or McConnell to that cocaine. Muck raking of the worst sort. You should be ashamed to cough it up except as a joke. Were you just making a joke?

He might be done, and that would be OK by me but this story isn't going to harm him in any way.

I think there should be term limits for federal offices and we should root out the blood sucking career politicians. We would all be better off if McConnell and Reid and Pelosi and a whole slew of others were tossed.
Tie that in with Transparency in political donations and depersonify corporations

Just ban all but private citizen donations and cap the donations at $250 a piece.
Transparency will work as well and cant be used against you when the corporation wants to you or in your name donate to the candidate they wish to buy
I'm noticing a lot of ads from the Democrats this election cycle that are being done by these bullshit made up PACs as well.

It needs to stop.

Yeah, Really.

Watch as none of the people you mentioned even gets questioned. Watch as they go about their business and nothing ever happens to them over this. Just wait and watch. Nothing will happen.

Why isn't the janitor that works at the company having to answer questions? He is closer in relation to the boat than Mr Chao or Mcconnel would EVER be.

Puff piece, not actual legal trouble for anyone other than the people that were on the boat.

My neighbor owns stock in that company, maybe he is the one whodunit?

You really need to read a bit more. The Dems are on par with the Republicans for PAC money and always have been.
