Does the SCROG and LST methods take up more grow time? I have seen some pics of those giant LST bushes of goodness but it looks like it must have taken a long time to grow.

Scrog (Screen of Green) is designed as a controlled Sog (Sea of Green) grow. Large numbers of individual plants, just the top colas are allowed to mature, this is not pratical for plant limit grows that are dependant on high yields per plant, they can produce more bud in less time so it is a shame. Lst ( low strees training ) would fit the idea of low plant count, big monster except...you can only cover so much distance before you lose light intensity and therefore bud production. Brian believes placing a 1000watt light verticle in the middle of his plants and rotating them 1/4 turn on a regular basis, properly trimmed, he calls it limbing, will produce more high quality bud. I have tried his product, it is top quality. His rotation from clone to weed is about 12 to 14 weeks total, sometimes it depends on his health, so they do spend more time in vegging then a lot of us give them, his results are amazing. And he is funny too boot. VV:mrgreen::blsmoke:

picked up a barely used Sun Systems 1000w ballast and hood with a Hortilux Super HPS EN bulb today. I thought it was a good deal at only $150!

As far as the grow regiment, 2 weeks veg per clone, 8-10 flower. Pretty standard right? And I am looking for as high of yields as possible. Also,
i have the possibility of procuring a 6speed light mover with 7' rail for $50. Worth it used in a 4x8 tent?

VictorVicious and all thanks for the help.

That would be standard after developing mothers, which you would be better not to have again because of plant counts. In order to put clones in flowering at two weeks you need big clones. That is a good deal on a 1000watt light. VV
