it's funny, but I have come out of walmart or lowes many times with pieces of kit. like I'll be buying CFL bulbs, Y adapters and odor absorbing gel and air filters and think: does this cashier hv any idea what i'm using these for?

ya some times i get the same feelin i work at a plant store go Figure lol and i see ppl always gettin stuff to start and im like hell ya lol i know what your doin so im shure ppl in homedepot lowes walmart are the same way at least a select few

Hey boney shape, the pics you have posted dont work, you think could re post them??? Awesome idea here guys with this filter, how well does it work tho, will it keep the smell away in my closet?? i cant have the rents smelling it, this is really an ultra stealth grow...

I have had no luck with that filter paper at all. It doesn't do NEARLY as good as the activated carbon pellets, not even close. I am growing Snow White which is on the low end of the odor spectrum and even using 3-4 sheets of that stuff and a Febreeze carbon plugin, I could still smell it. I am glad it works for you though, it is much easier just not as effective in my experience. Once I made a DIY with panyhose, netpots and activated carbon, zero smell. Gone. Has been working great for 2 months too.

i was in homes depot the other day and was looking at some t8 flourests and some security lights and the guy in the light department said alot of young kids come in and buy those things all the time to grow ther drugs i was doing the same thing lol .......has any one made a 5 gallon tout size carbon filter??????? my pad smells like grapes

So i made a simple and VERY effective filter system.3 inch plastic T fitting the 2 sides with smooth openings, the top with threads..2, 3 inch drain caps,1, 3 inch Threaded cap for the top, 4 , 3 inch round pieces of window screening .. ..Home Depot......2 round carbon filters , and a bag of granulated carbon. Pet Smart... Put 1 screen and round filter and another screen in each drain cap and slide into each smooth ends.. Rinse granulated carbon and fill from the top.. Place the cap and attach 4 inch dryer duct to each end.. No smell at all..
