I am a middle aged white (wasp) male.

I understand that there has been a HUGE amout of injustice done by white males in the past. I feel bad that the Native Americans were treated so poorly (read that killed them as fast as they could) I was not there, my relatives were as far as I know were not there. I admit that this was wrong and I DO feel as a white male I should accept a little bit of the responsibility and feel a little remorse.

Muslims should share the blame for what terrorists do. If I am to feel bad bad about George Bush, they should feel bad about 9/11

I'm super glad we displaced the indigenous population of North America.

Imagine how shitty out civilization would be if we were forced to assimilate into a hunter gatherer tribal dystopia with endemic warfare.

One look at Indian reservations also makes me glad we didn't keep them in great numbers.

I'm glad my ancestors had balls. I only wish we still had some.

I have native American ancestry in my blood but I can't hate white people today for something that happened decades ago. In a different time. I suppose I could carry around that hate like Jessie Jackson/Al Sharpton/Cornel West/Ferguson people/Uncle Buck do, but it's unhealthy and doesn't really solve anything. It's just race baiting.

Native Americans were killing each other long before the white man came along. If we are going to demonize white people, then it is only fair to say that Mexicans are to blame for the genocide of Native Americans just the same.

Me too. My wife is a card carrying Indian, and your point is spot on. There is nothing constructive about carrying a chip on your shoulder. It is absurd to blame some white/black/yellow guy for stuff that happened 200, or 2,000, or 2,000,000 years ago. It is absurd to expect an innocent person to pay reparations (actual dollars, affirmative action, etc) for bad behavior he had no part in.

We can't undo the past, so get on with your life.

White – A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa.
Black or African American – A person having origins in any of the Black racial groups of Africa.
