Plants maturing at different rates??

Hey RIU! I'm currently 6 weeks into flowering on my very first grow. I started a journal but then got super nervous that I would embarrass myself so I abandoned the journal. Now I'm wishing I had kept it up so I had some loyal readers to ask advice from. Well, here goes nothing.
I'm running a twelve bucket ebb and gro with sweet grapefruit. I recieved the clones from a close friend. He assures me that they are all the exact same plant but possible different phenotypes. Up until the last week, all twelve plants have seemed identical. Three of the plants look like they're ready to harvest while the other nine look like they have at least two-three weeks left. Has anybody ever experienced this before?
All the plants grew at the same rate, leaves and stalks are all about the same profile and size. The three plants that look close to being finished however have way smaller buds than the other plants. Could this simply be a different phenotype? Could it possibly have to do with a mistake I made or a problem with the plant such as lockout or root rot? All plants are in the ebb and gro so same nutes at the same time since day one.

if its off the same plant, its the same pheome. only way to check into it is to have other seeds to sprout. if some of your plants arent up to par with the rest theres a miriade of shit that can make this happen. mlght be a weak plant, or its not getting as much light as the otherts'check for clogged lines too.

Thanks for the reply, elf! By same plant, I meant same strain. He has three mothers of this strain that he takes cuttings from and he said he could not guarantee they are all the same pheno. It seems to be the only thing that I can think of as all the plants receive the same care and enviornment. Lighting is fairly even through the entire room, plus the three plants are all in different spots and not all right next to eachother. Lines are clear and water is running. Any other suggestions or possibilities, please let me know!

Different pheno's would be my guess. They will be different in their needs and grow differently. Using the same res for different pheno's has its drawbacks due to this very reason. I do it all the time so I know lol.

Thank for the reply man, much appreciated. I was panicking for a couple days but I'm convinced it's just different pheno. As this is my first grow and going successful, I'm not at all disappointed. I simply think I may have to flush now and pull those three earlier than the rest.

I've brought seeds same strain and had em finish at different rates they was autos tho northen lights and one was closer to the intake so i figured plants that get fresher air mature faster

Thanks for the response! That's an interesting theory and now that you bring it up, two of the plants are closest to my biggest fast and the third is closest to my air-conditioner. Very interesting theory, I will have to start taking more specific notes so I can start to narrow such things down and become more aware of overlooked aspects of my enviornment.
