Thank you for all your responses, good arguments on both sides of the coin. Here is an update and hopefully the end of my dilemma.
I received an email from the organization asking me if I would agree to certain criteria in order to not interfere with the safety or comfort of the youth. They then asked ME to draft the letter stating what rules I thought would satisfy both our positions. I believe this was a legal move so THEY would not be 'guilty' of imposing discriminatory restrictions on me. I understand that I could push the discrimination angle, as the same restrictions aren't put on users of any other prescription drug, but what would I really gain? I think they have tried to accommodate my needs while balancing it with the primary purpose of providing a safe, enjoyable camp experience for the kids. Sometimes ya just gotta pick your battles!
I wrote a very basic email agreeing to keep it out of site and reach of youth, avoid using within smelling distance of youth and not smoking in any of their buildings. I mentioned using my vape pen and investing in a larger vape to be more discreet. I also agreed not to grow on the property and had to send them a copy of my atp. Pretty fair, common sense stuff. I got an email back last night advising me they were sending me $200 towards purchasing a vaporizer! I am blown away by the respect and support I've gotten from this organization and extremely happy with the way things worked out.
HOLY SHIT! good people on the other side of the fence DO EXIST!!!

I'm not sure if you are actually serious? You are entitled to your own opinion and may choose a different approach than I do, but I don't understand bending over and taking it for the man. I am not an in-your -face activist or anything...I just expect to be treated exactly the same as everybody else. The folks who drafted the charter of rights and freedoms and the courts that uphold them agree with me. I am risking nothing except hard feelings by demanding the discrimination end. They can't fire me and it won't cost me a dime to take them to a human rights tribunal. I am just hoping it doesn't come to that.

UPDATE! I just got a call, not ten minutes ago, saying I will be signing a contract today. I did not send the letter I had written and they gave no reason...just wanted to know if I'll be home this evening. It'll be interesting to see what they have to say.

That is awesome. It 's one of those skills I need to learn but sometimes just waiting a minute works. I hope this all works out for you!

Well,I'm not sure I'm any smarter than I was before..but I have a signed contract. There was a little paragraph added stating things we had already agreed upon, so this is what they came up with ;
" In essence, what we’re asking for is a slightly expanded version of the smoking and prescription drug policies that already exist:

· The medical marijuana should be stored in a safe and secure place and should not be accessible to others;

· No one from BLANK should be handling, dispensing or sharing your medical marijuana with you; and

· In addition to not smoking in front of youth, we would ask that you not smoke in front of adults or volunteers and that you be discrete in your usage, recognizing that the smell lingers and is readily identifiable
."

That's it. The woman who brought the contract over wasn't able to share the emails, but read a few bits from one of their lawyers who caught wind of it and knew discrimination law. I would have liked an apology, and maybe one is still coming, but I am happy it's settled.

I got an Arizer Extreme for $249 and I already had a Skunk Stick. I wish I could stick with just vaping to save my lungs, but there's something about smoking a joint or doing a bong toke...
I did not like the skunk stick for the buds. Maybe because it was one of the cheaper models (although 70 bucks isn't very cheap in my opinion) and you couldn't adjust the temperature?
How's the Arizer Extreme?

Is the duration of the effect different when using a vaporizer?

No temp adjust on my skunk stick, but it works ok. I use it a lot ...The Arizer works great. A friend of mine has one so I've used it before.
